my partner and I had a meal at The Eliot last night 3/4/14. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in, The food was lovely and our steaks were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was great and we would highly recommend The Eliot to all of our friends and family. Well worth the... More

I have visited The Eliot over a number of years and returned for more! Sadly, however, the food has deteriorated to such an extent that I am being forced to go elswhere. The menu is regularly changed by Marstons but each change seems to have been for the worse; some meals can now only be described as stodge. The chef... More

We have been visiting this pub on and off for 10 years or so as we live about 7 miles away. The location is great, being so close to the amenities of the Cotswold Water Park and Cirencester. The pub itself has character and potential. When the real fire is burning in the winter (if you're lucky) it's really cosy... More

I have visited the Eliot Arms before and although the food isn't Michelin Star, it is usually good pub food. Not hand-made as it says in some of the menu items, but pleasant. However, I will not be re-visiting again after my visit today. We went at 1pm on a Sunday and wandered through the half empty restaurant area to... More

Our room was room 2 which is on the 1st floor .On the whole this place is good value. The room was a good standard for a pub it was just the bathroom that let it down. To be fair a new floor covering and repaint of the ceiling would make a big difference. We stayed on a Sunday when... More

We visited on a midweek evening and the place seemed quite busy . There was a distinct feeling that the kitchen was under pressure as we were ordering we heard the kitchen shout not to take any more orders . There was a considerable wait for food which would have been fine had it been good when it arrived .... More

We booked into this pub not knowing what to expect. We were given a self contained room in a cottage style building adjacent to the pub. Harry, the landlord, was extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had a comfortable four poster bed and were able to park right outside. Breakfast was part of the deal and was... More

Thought we would have a drink while we were waiting for our Indian Takaway food. The main bar area was quite busy but as we had a teenager with us the sign said we could not sit in this area. As we had a teenager and a dog we were told that back room area was suitable. Friendly clientele. Nice... More

been there for an evening meal while staying at Hoburne Cotslwold. The food was nice, staff was also nice. so we had nothing to complain, even got a bottle of wine for free, would return there again for a meal without any doubt.
