We booked this B and B for 3 couples for Saturday night. The welcome was warm and friendly the rooms were really comfortable and cosy. We had supper which was a simple menu but lovely food. We has booked taxis to take us to another venue and when they let us down the owners drove us to our destination. Breakfast... More

I am writing on behalf of my mum who visited earlier this month. She advised that there was a wonderful welcome from the staff, the rooms were really nice and clean. The breakfast was especially good too, with fresh homemade food. Nothing too much trouble and would highly recommend. Overall a fantastic stay

We went there for relaxing Saturday lunch and that is what we got. The menu is typical for a country pub, in particular the ploughman's lunch and a cider was just right for a sunny afternoon in July. They did not have a children's menu which was a little disappointing. Other than that the food and service was great.

My partner took me to the Masons arms for a night to celebrate my birthday. when we arrived there was a local fete in full swing next door which was quite sweet and made this otherwise very small sleepy village quite buzzing. we were shown to a pretty decent bedroom, I would use the term compact to describe it, I... Stayed here for a night, staff were so friendly without being intrusive. Great place, roaring fire and atmospheric decor. Had supper there, excellent food, food served on hot plates(pet hate having food on cold plates) and superb freshly cooked to order breakfast. Room was very clean. The village is tucked away but half an hour from many centres.

Stayed here last month and came back for another night! The owners Mark and Jules give such a warm welcome. Lovely, cosy room with comfy bed, in a gorgeous old pub with open fire. It's a real treat to wake up to birdsong and no other noise. The full english breakfast is enormous and delicious! We'll be back!

We spent 2 nights at this amazing little find not far from circencester. Immediately we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The room and bed was cosy, comfortable and warm as when we were there it was cold. The heating was certainly welcome. Now to the food. Roman cooked great breakfasts and dinners by the crackling fire were terrific. The... More

Usually book a Premier Inn when going to football matches but there was none in the vicinity. Looked on late rooms .com and discovered this lovely country pub/hotel. We stayed for two nights and everything was brill. When they say a big English breakfast - they mean it! Staff were very welcoming and friendly and my husband even managed to... More

We booked this lovely B&B for our 5th Wedding Anniversary, and was not disappointed. The pub is in a small village in the Cotswold, and is perfect for exploring the area and not far from Oxford too. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, with comfy beds and lovely little quirks. We had brought a bottle of champagne with us, and... More

I thought long and hard about this review and have decided to break it into 4 area's, people, accommodation, food & finally the local area. I travel throughout the UK and Europe regularly on business and choose where possible to try local pubs/inns instead of the huge corporate hotel chains, this is totally out of choice and based on some...
