We have just returned from 6 nights at the Mangosteen Hotel, we were recommended to go here by friends who stayed previously, what a fantastic hotel, we were upgraded to a larger room, and one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in during holidays in the Far East. The room was huge, we had our teenage daughter with... more

We stayed six nights at Mangosteen and recommend it highly for travelers who want to be away from the crowds. The good: - Sits atop a hill with fantastic views of the the sea and islands in three directions. - Very friendly service, especially treated well by Khun Noon and the breakfast staff, who opened early nearly everyday for us... more

We had stayed at this resort in November 2004 and enjoyed our stay so much that we decided when we wanted a short break on relocating from Singapore to Thailand that we would return. The Resort has from what we could see had no maintenace since our last visit. The pool loungers which were never enough for the amount of... more

All sun loungers have been replaced as well as pool towels and we have brand new umbrellas since 25th of January 2009. There are 30 sun lounges available for our guests. Apologize for the damaged umbrellas, our supplier was delayed and we finally had to order somewhere else. The Cowboy Night is basically a BBQ evening, with great steaks, salads,...

In Oktober 2008 we have a wonderfull time at the MANGOSTEEN Resort & Spa in Phuket. The hotel is magnificent and had a very private atmosphere. From all over the hotel you have a wondervill seaview, at least you can see 6 islands. We have never experienced such a incredible location with such a good service. It was so lovely on... more

We spent 11 nights at the Mangosteen Resort and Spa and based upon its promotional literature and rates of USD 200 a night (reduced from USD 298) we were expecting great things from this Boutique Hotel. Sadly it did not deliver, and although not entirely a disaster we have experienced much, much better on our travels. This resort is truly... more

We stayed in the Mangosteen for 10 Nights in April 2007, as part of our honeymoon and we had a fantastic time. The views from different point round the hotel were magnificent. Transport offered by the hotel was very reliable, but we used then to get us to other towns and TukTuks to get back! The staff where really friendly,... more

The Mangosteen was the biggest mistake of out honeymoon...All the photo's and reviews we went thru was misleading and we were totally disappointed in everything - the rooms, breakfast and staff. The staff was really unfriendly; rooms is mosquito invested and the breakfast was not only undercooked but tasteless. Apparently they are a five star resort, but not when we... more

This was our first trip to Thailand. We stayed at the Mangosteen because were looking for a hotel that was somewhat isolated and located away from all the commotion. We were there for about 7-8 days and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We loved: -Our villa. It was isolated, lush, and very quiet. We had a front patio... more

Stayed for four nights in a Deluxe Jacuzzi Villa with my girlfriend looking for a romantice getaway. Location: You can get some very nice views being on the top of the hill and we saw some beautiful sun rises from our villa. It's at the bottom of the Island so it's one of the further resorts from the airport (about... more

This place is a cute and quiet boutique hotel situated on top of a hill with some gorgeous views of the ocean. Something strange stops it from being a great place (I think it is the cheap dated linens). The villas are very large and well appointed, but a bit malodorous. Service here was good. Price reasonable. I would suggest... more
