I have been meaning to write a review about our time spent at the Chateau since our return in February. Planning next years big adventure prompted me to come back here to report that never have we stayed at a more enchanting place. Visiting Normandy in February with my mother and sister, we had the entire Chateau to ourselves. At... More

To visit and stay at the chateau de Canisy is a good reason for visiting Normandy. Waking in the morning too see the mist rising from the lake, a perfect breakfast of whatever you want, a stroll round the grounds, planning the day. There's so much to do and see. We have visited Bayeux for one invasion history, and of... More

Our family and a group of friends booked 10 rooms here for a special occasion in the late summer of 2013. Our 4 night visit could not have been more wonderful. The setting is idyllic, the food is delicious, the accommodations are charming and all have private updated baths, and the staff and Count could not have been nicer. In... More

My wife and I attended a dinner here during the D-Day Anniversary. We stayed one night in the Louis 16th room. It was a wonderful experience and we certainly plan on returning the the Chateau. The food was fantastic, and the Count has the best croissants we tasted throughout our two weeks in France

We spent two wonderful nights here while visiting Normandy and the D-Day sites. This is truly a magical hotel that should be ranked among the best in France. The staff is warm, extremely courteous and professional. They immediately make you feel completely welcome and genuinely care about your experience and your comfort. Every detail is tended to and every effort... More

This was our second visit to Chateau de Canisy, and I can’t say enough good things about our two night stay. As before, we were blown away by our first glimpse of the chateau: a large, historic structure with stone turrets, slate roof and gorgeous grounds with a large, shining lake and family of swans. The inside of the chateau... More

Stayed for three nights in May 2014. If I tried as hard as I could it would be impossible to come up with any criticism. The staff is delightful, the dining was in the top ten I have ever experienced, and I have been lucky enough to enjoy hundreds of five star meals in my life. The best may have... More

This was an enjoyable experience staying at a very old chateau that has beautiful bedrooms. Finding it is a problem as it sits well off the road with no signage and we arrived in the dark. There is a small nameplate on the stone column by the drive and that is it! The staff was wonderful and the food very... More

Me and my husband stayed at the Chateau for two nights during our honeymoon in France. It was a wedding present from two of our close family friends. What a gift it was! The Chateau was amazing. Jennifer and Sandrine were wonderful to work with. They worked with us and helped us coordinate our trip. Jennifer was there to welcome... More

I highly recommend the Chateau Canisy to you! The Chateau itself is a gorgeous 1000 year old French chateau with exquisitely decorated rooms. The food is amazing! The chef is really extraordinary! And the location is perfect...close to the Normandy battlefields and an hour from amazing Mont St Michelle. Most of all, the hospitality offered by the Canisy team has... More
