My friend and I have just had 3 tranquil days at Cornwall Cottage. Nothing was lacking, the accommodation, facilities and breakfast provisions were great. Peta was an excellent host and nothing was too much trouble for her and she had excellent knowledge of and advice on local attractions. I Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

The setting was beautiful and the accommodation very clean and attractive. It was a lovely place to stay for our first 4 days in Tasmania. Peta was helpful and provided us with fresh breakfast ingredients -but it was abit of a hassle to cook it in such a small kitchen.

We (myself, husband and my elderly mother) stayed for 4 nights at lovely Cornwall Cottage with its fabulous setting. From the living area we looked out over views of mountain, water, vineyards and a big sky. The accommodation was spacious, comfortable and attractive and Peta was an excellent host, really looking after us as if we were family members. Her... More

My family spent 5 fantastic days at Cornwall Cottage at the beginning of October and cannot fault anything at all. Our hosts Peta & Alec were wonderful and attentive to any of our needs and our two boys were greatly entertained by all of the farming activities. The homebaked bread, jams and other food provided was excellent (my boys now... More

Thank you for your positive review. Your boys were a great help with feeding the hens, collecting eggs, feeding the horses and moving the sheep. As promised I did some research on the grubs the boys and I discovered and they are the steel blue Spitfire Sawfly - very interesting. Hope to see you here at Cornwall Cottage again in... More

When we first got to the accommodation we thought it was lovely, beautiful scenery and wonderful location. From then, it changed. Everyday we were constantly intruded by the owner always coming in to the accommodation when we were there and when we were not there. She also took our washing in from the line, including underwear which we found completely... More

It is disappointing to hear that you did not enjoy your stay at Cornwall Cottage. If you had come to me on the 2nd day to say you were not happy with your choice I would have had no hesitation in refunding the remainder of your payment without penalty so you could move on. Alec and I took the opportunity... More

My wife Judy & I came across Cornwall Cottage by chance, how lucky we were! Peta & Alec look after you like long lost friends. The accommodation could not be faulted, the price was reasonable, the outlook superb and Peta even supplies a choice of home baked breads & a variety of home made jams. We bought some to bring... My family spent three wonderfully relaxing days at the Cornwall Cottage during the Australia day long weekend in January 2013. Personally, I was looking forward to few relaxing days after a four week enjoyable but arduous journey to Sri Lanka and our stay at the Cottage could not have been more suited for this purpose. Our host Peta Elliott was... More

We were lucky to have booked Cornwall Cottage for 5 nights when Hobart was chockers with visitors (Wooden Boat Festival). The location in Cambridge is perfect for exploring Hobart, getting to MONA and day tripping to Port Arthur etc. Peta and Alec offer beautifully presented, spotlessly clean accommodation, in a peaceful rural location. Peta's fresh bread, home made jams and... More

This is a lovely property set amidst a gorgeous valley. It's run by a couple, Peta and Alec, who seem to have thought of everything. My 3 kids (ages 9, 8 and 6) fell in love with the place, and didn't want to leave. I didn't either. We stayed for 2 nights. On our arrival, Peta dropped off an enormous... More

Thank you for your great comments. We are lucky to have Nates restaurant close by as all my guests come back after a visit there and rave about the food and the service. Our Devil of a Red Pinot is a good drop and has some wine show medals to support that. More

Lovely "cottage", beautifully presented with every comfort provided and fabulous views over farmland, mountains and the bay. Hostess PETA is warm and welcoming but discreet, allowing you to enjoy your holiday in privacy. Thank you for your review. We did a lot of research to find the "right" beds so we had success there. The kitchen is small but fully equipped to enable guests to prepare meals plus we have a BBQ area available. More
