My partner and I stayed for a break away for my birthday and brought along my dog. I thoroughly recommend this hotel. The receptionist was extremely warm and welcoming and the hotel is very pet friendly, dogs are allowed everywhere with the exception of the restaurants. The views are magnificent, the rooms are light and airy and the beds are... More

Booked for two night to see family on holiday close by. No one about when we arrived but as if by magic a very helpful bar man appeared, he was also concierge, waiter, receptionist as it later transpired, most helpful. Our room was very nice and views to give more than the wow factor, canal and sea, at a loss... More

Thank you to the Crinan Hotel and Catherine in particular for making my parents stay for their Ruby Anniversary so special. The little touches of having champagne and balloons in the room were fantastic and much appreciated. The room we booked had a balcony and I would recommend this as the view over Jura and Scarba on the West Coast... More

Me and a friend arrived by sailing dinghy, looking hagard and scruffy and they did not bat an eyelid. The decor and style shows the artist's touch and there was attention to detail everywhere. The food in the fish restaruant was very fine; I had crab rissoto, best ever. And the location and view, and homely atmosphere. Must go here... More

This place is tucked away among some of the lovliest views you could imagine. Great walks along the towpaths of the canal with wild life in abundance. Ospreys, Herons among all the other birds and peace and quiet to ponder where and what they will be up to next. Great fresh food and the staff were a credit to the... More

We have just returned from an overnight stay at Crinan Hotel. From the minute that I telephoned to book until we left this morning I could not fault it. The staff were welcoming and the room was bright and airy overlooking the loch. We ate in the restaurant last night and the food was very well presented fresh langoustines were... More

We found the Crinan Hotel out of this world, the staff where friendly and very helpful. The owners who we spoke to a couple of times, we found very charming. Food was excellent. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The area is really outstanding, we should be proud to have places like this in our own country.

After a lovely meander along the single track road where we took in the breathtaking scenery by the canal we finally arrived at Crinan. On entering the hotel there was no one on reception but we headed through to the bar where there was people enjoying lunch. Again no one was manning the bar but there was a girl who... More

A group of us called in yesterday for a drink on our way back to Craighouse, Jura, after a nice lunch on Seil celebrating a 60th birthday. We only visited the bar so cannot comment on the rest of the hotel. The round of drinks for 15 of us was over £10 dearer than Seil (and 2 less drinks!), and... More

Thank you for your comments we are sorry you did not enjoy your Crinan experience. It is interesting to see that 3 of your colleagues work in the hospitality industry, most of us in the industry know it is better to address the problems with the management at the time, as we are all working to improve the tourist footfall...
