We stayed at La Cachette for two nights on our way back from the Pyrennes. We would definitely stay again if we were visiting the Dordogne area. Spotless, beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms, breathtaking views over the valley, attractive sun terrace for the guests own use and sun loungers. Marion and John were superb hosts - warm and welcoming, with... More

It was lovely to meet you both and even though it was just a short visit we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at La Cachette. Hope to see you both again if you are ever passing through the Dordogne in the future. Best wishes to you both. Marion & John More

It is lovely to hear you enjoyed your week in the Dordogne. We also enjoyed your company over a bottle on the terrace whilst we put the world to rights. Enjoy the rest of your Summer and perhaps we will meet up again over another bottle one day. Cheers Marion & John More

We were not dissappointed on our return visit to John and Marions where we saw them go out of their way to give us and their guests a beautiful variety of breakfasts, comfortable clean rooms and very helpful advice. Parking wasn't a problem even with our big car and the Dordogne delights are at your doorstep without having to fight... More

We stayed in La Cachette for 4 nights in July. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We loved all the extra little touches such as use of a picnic hamper which we made great use of. The breakfasts every day were excellent. Marion made an effort to make something a little different each day, including home made brioche. John... More

We stayed at La Cachette in the Montfort room, for 4 nights in April 2013. John and Marion made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of helpful advice to make the most of our time in the beautiful Dordogne. The room was absolutely lovely with stunning views, and the breakfasts were simply delicious. We had a wonderful holiday... More

This was our first visit to the Dordogne and our holiday was made even more enjoyable by the warm welcome we received on arrival at La Cachette. It was a pleasure to stay in John & Marion’s lovely home and our room was large, very clean and comfortable. Lots of little French touches made us feel we were not staying... More

We stayed for ten nights at the begining of September 2012 , we wished it had been longer.Every thing about La Cachette was superb, the location, the rooms and first class breakfasts with a different theme each day. Best of all was the hospitality of John and Marion which was second to none. Nothing was too much... More

We booked to stay for a week at La Cachette on the recommendation of friends who had also stayed there a couple of years ago. We were not disappointed; in fact we were overwhelmed by the generosity of John and Marion in terms of accommodation, food and advice. Nothing was too much trouble and Marion's breakfasts are rated by us... More

We arrived as John and Marion's guests and left as their friends. Despite travelling quite widely in Europe, we have never enjoyed a stay more - anywhere. My wife and I stayed with John and Marion at La Cashette in August 2012 for two fabulous weeks. As is usual for La Cashette, we wish we could have stayed even longer.... More
