Lovely little hotel to use as a first or last night in France. Easy to find about 15/20 mins from tunnel. Room compact but clean and comfortable, great bathroom! The staff were very friendly and very patient with my attempts at French. Great food and just a really lovely first night in France

Stayed here to visit the museums in the area, and found the hotel quite friendly, meals were excellent and all the staff very helpful. the Blockhouse museum is approx 10 miles away from the hotel and Le Coupole is about fifteen miles away.

Behind the hotel is a small but nicely presented campsite. Only a few pitches and a single (full) bathroom but very quiet yet convenient for Calais. Not far from good supermarket at Eperlecques as well as WW2 museums at Eperlecques and St Omer.

All the comfort expected in a rural hotel. The service was outstanding. Arriving after the kitchen hours, we still got a meal in no time. The next morning we could borrow some tools to fix our bikes before taking off. A very pleasant stay all in all.

We usually stay in a hotel just as we get off the Eurotunnel in Calais but decided on a change this time. Hotel Bal came up on booking, com and it looked ideal. I contacted the hotel after I made the booking to ensure they had a room suitable for someone with reduced mobility and they promptly replied that they did... More

My husband and I stayed overnight in the delightful Hotel Bal on the first night of our tour of Europe this Summer. From the get go the place was just lovely. Parking was no trouble, check in was swift and efficient. The rooms were just lovely and the en suite bathrooms even more so. We ate in the hotel restaurant... More

This is a very comfortable well priced hotel with wifi. It is very convenient for the Calais ferry, a 30 to 40 minutes drive away. There is also a good restaurant serving evening meals at reasonable prices.

ideal for travellers coming off or going to the tunnel to have a good relaxing stopover. Very clean throughout and dinner is very good. Breakfast has changed over time and needs to be back to what it was. Very friendly staff and helpful. Great place to break your journey.

Very friendly little hotel. Stayed here before travelling on euro tunnel home. Very clean and very modern bathroom. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Which we had found somewhere like this on our way here in Reims. Wi-fi is available.
