A lot of these lodges can be a bit run down, but not this one. Very small, only three cabins (rooms) and one of those was out of action as a guest had burnt it down by overdoing the fire in the fireplace?! Very quiet, of course. Rooms overlook small river. They arrange nature walks, pretty much personalised to you.... More

Every aspect of our stay at Don Enrique was perfect. The four daily meals were perfect, the wine selection was amazing, and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The proprietors have a very nice sense of attention to detail, with flowers and jams being arranged "just so" at every meal. The rustic hot-tub-style baths are also amazing and very romantic. If... Its a nice place, but watch out - they charge foreigners DOUBLE the rates for Argentinians. Its good value for Argentinians, but for the US$300 per night we paid, we expected a lot more, especially as most of the advertised activities we could not do because the river was too high.

Dear Sr. Unfortunately we can not control the natural conditions and climate. In a place so wild, we are at the mercy of nature and we can only do the best we can. Unfortunate that the river was so high that the activities were limited to half, that's not very common but it can happen. In relation to price, is... More

Don Enrique Lodge is in the border of the Yabotí reserve (the last shelter of the Paranaense forest). Is a Jungle Lodge. 3 rooms, good acomodations for the place. Now they have internet (no phone). The hosts are great.

We stayed at Don Enrique for easter in 2007. We were surprised how littlle forest was left on the way there. But we soon understood that the lodge is laying on the border to the forrest. When we arrived we were greated by the lovely couple that runs the place. The cabin we stayed in was lovely and the baththub... More

This place is heavenly! My husband, sister, and I stayed for a few days. I have never been so relaxed in my life. I am from Buenos Aires but have lived in the US for 20 years. I had never been to this part of my country. I recommend flying from BsAs to Iguazu, spend a few days there, then... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the Don Enrique Lodge. The lodge is across a stream from a nature preserve. They've cut a series of trails through the jungle, and don't let guests wander out alone so nothing bad can happen to us (such as getting lost). They rate the trails based on the level of challenge, and how... More

Don Enrique is family-run and takes clear pride in providing a highly memorable experience for its guests. Its three guest cabins and main lodge were designed and built with a tuned eye for detail, and great effort is put into maintaining a pleasing aesthetic, relaxing time, and flawless service. The family took us (a couple of New Yorkers) in as... More

Dec. 2006 When we arrived at the lodge, the electricity was out due to bad weather. It was so romantic to see everything lit by candlelight in the middle of rainforest. That set the tone of our time there. We totally relaxed, read and had massages(awesome and cheap). The food was delicious. The power did come on the next day... More

Don Enrique is a small lodge (only 3 cabins) in the Monte misionero (that's the Argentine Rain forest). It's literally in the middle of nowhere. There are no roads, no TV, no internet, no telephone, you cannot even use your cellphone, as the signal does not get there. That being said, it's not very complicated to get there from Buenos...
