There is a certain something about Scotland in general that will forever be within my blood and that certain something flows even more red and life giving when I find myself on the western isles. I think it was Sorley Mclean, a renowned poet from those very isles, who once wrote:- It is not the beauty of your body, the... More

Perfect self catering accommodation with stunning views right outside. Lovely compact interior for a fair price. Everything is provided for a wonderful, comfortable stay. Wifi available, but no phone signal however owners are very happy to let you use their phone. People stopping outside to look at beautiful exteriors. Really good week despite the weather. Don't leave without going for... More

Once again, Mary and Drew made our week in Skye a truly memorable one! I cannot now imagine staying anywhere else on the island as their cottages are just amazing. A very big 'Thank You' to Drew, Mary and your family for giving us an opportunity to spend a week in such wonderful surroundings. We have enjoyed some wonderful places to stay, and Mary's Cottages have to be in the highest category possible. They are exquisite. We always travel up to Waternish, but this time we wanted to explore Elgol... More

My husband and myself stayed here recently on a trip to the Highlands. It is a beautiful location and a very welcoming family. The room was perfect and very clean. The breakfast was very generous and the open kitchen was great as you could get a cup of tea or coffee when you needed it. The location here is out... More

Wonderful wee gem of a place. Stayed on midweek short break with some friends and had a brilliant time. Couple who own place so genuinely welcoming and lovely. Off the beaten track but well worth the trip.

Truly superb. Idyllic thatched cottage in traditional crofter style. Very well equipped and a great setting in beautiful scenery. A great base for exploring Skye and a good drive through stunning scenery to get there. Mary very friendly and needs utmost praise for her wonderful establishment. Only a short walk from the highly recommended Coruisk House restaurant.

I had an amazing stay.not only do you drive 15 miles into dramatic scenery with breath taking views you then arrive at Mary's Cottages and it is a dream come true There was a fire lit and the underfloor heating was on which made us feel comfy straight away. There were flowers and a bottle of wine also waiting. Everything... More

We spent a long weekend there- great place! The location itself is remote and rugged.. which reminded us of why we wanted to go to skye in the first place! The cottages themselves are amazing! Underfloor heating, gas fired stove! We just loved it. Drew and Mary are lovely people as well- very helpful and friendly! (The only heads up... More
