What a disappointment! The front desk staff were not friendly or helpful – most without smiles. The only staff at the resort who are smiling are the waiters in the restaurant, who do a very good job. Ban Raya is totally underrated. Such a fantastic island and such a fantastic little resort! Beautiful views, clean comfortable bungalows, great pool. The island is the best I've seen in Thailand - gorgeous! more

When you arrive at the Island, at a fab beach, with a resort on the beach and then get put on a tractor trailer and disapear in to the jungle you are slightly dissapointed....however Ban Raya is a very good resort with comfortable rooms, good service and good food.
