We stayed here 3 nights and this was enough. The staff are very friendly but communication is very hard . The breakfast was always cold even the fried eggs when they brought fresh ones out were cold, the only hot food was the toast as you had to make it fresh. The bed and pillows were like rock and I... We stayed at The Ban Raya for two days after having booked by an agent in Karon. After the booking we read the reviews and we thougt this was an bad idea. We came there with no expectations! Our opinion is that the hotel does not deserve the bad reviews. The bungalows are ok, but not very high standard. A... More

After having spent days in Phuket, and various islands around, we had the unfortunate event of having booked this place through agoda. As soon as we arrived, the horror was all around. The room was disgusting, the beach is no beach but a block of stones and concrete walls! Aircon limited, the shuttle service to the proper beach was 10... More

The Ban Raya is in a lovely setting and has so much going for it with a great pool and access to the beach. However, it's clear that much of the organisation is chaotic, especially in the restaurant, We stayed there for 2 nights and the first night's evening meal was a disaster, with everything going wrong, we were told... The hotel location makes my vote to be very good. It has a fantastic swimming pool with a wonderful views of the island. The restaurant views when having breakfast makes you think you are in paradise. I dont like that hotel swimming pool is used at 16:00 by people making cruises of one day. The rooms are ok but the... I have been here a few times in the past but this last visit was a huge dissappointment. They can sure use better management. The place is run down, certainly no good maintenance for several years already and staff was very unhelpful and manipulative. The location is still one of the best on Racha island and the swimming pool is... More

W spent 3 nights at Ban Raya Resort in December 2013. The situation of the resort is amazing, the bungalows are surrounded by a lush garden of coconut palms and the enormous infinity pool was incredible. Also, to add to its credentials is a beautiful cove where you can snorkel from the bay, so lovely in fact, that it is... More

We checked in to this resort and were taken to our room. On arival, we noticed a bad smell from the sewer all over the room. The room had a nice view, we were looking at a wall of the Spa...! The room was very dirty and needs alot of renovation/cleaning. Also we were missing alot of things, like a... More

My friends and I stayed in a superior room for 1 night. So please note that this review is based on only 1 night stay. The hotel was located quite far from the beach where most boats land. There're tractors picking up guests from there 2 times/day. (9.00, 13.00) If you wish to get out of the hotel before/after the... More

We stayed in a 'deluxe' room, which was booked for us by our travel agent as part of our tour of Thailand. The location of the hotel is idyllic, surrounded by palm trees and set on a beautiful island with amazing views of the sea, wonderful beaches and great snorkeling and diving, etc However, the hotel itself is a collection...
