The hotel location makes my vote to be very good. It has a fantastic swimming pool with a wonderful views of the island. The restaurant views when having breakfast makes you think you are in paradise. I dont like that hotel swimming pool is used at 16:00 by people making cruises of one day. The rooms are ok but the... I have been here a few times in the past but this last visit was a huge dissappointment. They can sure use better management. The place is run down, certainly no good maintenance for several years already and staff was very unhelpful and manipulative. The location is still one of the best on Racha island and the swimming pool is... More

W spent 3 nights at Ban Raya Resort in December 2013. The situation of the resort is amazing, the bungalows are surrounded by a lush garden of coconut palms and the enormous infinity pool was incredible. Also, to add to its credentials is a beautiful cove where you can snorkel from the bay, so lovely in fact, that it is... More

We checked in to this resort and were taken to our room. On arival, we noticed a bad smell from the sewer all over the room. The room had a nice view, we were looking at a wall of the Spa...! The room was very dirty and needs alot of renovation/cleaning. Also we were missing alot of things, like a... More

My friends and I stayed in a superior room for 1 night. So please note that this review is based on only 1 night stay. The hotel was located quite far from the beach where most boats land. There're tractors picking up guests from there 2 times/day. (9.00, 13.00) If you wish to get out of the hotel before/after the... More

We stayed in a 'deluxe' room, which was booked for us by our travel agent as part of our tour of Thailand. The location of the hotel is idyllic, surrounded by palm trees and set on a beautiful island with amazing views of the sea, wonderful beaches and great snorkeling and diving, etc However, the hotel itself is a collection... The location is great with wonderful views and it's easy to walk around the island to the other bays. It's well worth staying for a night or two just be aware that between about 12.30 and 2.30pm the resort is flooded with day trippers, mostly Chinese, about 90 per day. As long as you go and have your lunch elsewhere... More

Wonderfull hotel near the sea with private beach that you can not use for swimming, just for snorkeling. It has a wonderful swimming pool and the views over the hill are excellent. The food and the price of the meal was unexpensive. The curtains are not quite large for the required size of the windows in the bungalows. Breakfast excellent... More

This is a really beautiful island and Ban Raya is a very pretty resort. Lovely pool, coconut groves and Kon Kare Bay for snorkelling all great (swim further out where the coral is still alive). Preferred this resort to the others as beach at Batok Bay had very wild surf and Siam Bay beach was pretty but rocky. Good for... More

We chose Ban Raya because it seemed to offer the value for money on the little island of Koh Racha. We booked through booking.com (never again). The good things. The little private beach offers the best snorkelling I have encountered, it was like diving into an old Windows 98 screensaver. breathtaking. Even better than the day tour we did out... More
