A good, simple hotel in a lovely village. The rooms are simply furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The restaurant serves good local food, the wine list is mainly quite local (Glanes, Bergerac, Gaillac) and very reasonable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Very good value for money both for accommodation and food.

We returned to the Dordogne area after a gap of a decade or so and were generally disappointed. The main tourist areas have been almost disneyfied and are no longer the unspoilt little villages we used to know. However, if you look hard enough, away from the beaten track, you can find such a place and Creysse is one of... More

The Auberge is right in the centre of Creysse and offers travelers great accommodation plus being in a very calm environment. Wifi is good so you are never out of touch. I never found the staff unhelpful. In fact, they went out of their way to help get around the area, telling me all the places worth visiting. The food... More

Great hotel, clean good food and. Friendly people. Management work very long hours. I go to stay 3 to 4 times a year to see family near by. Thank you to all the staff. Market every week is good. Good walks and wine very good. Xx

Agree with the last two reviewers that this place is let down by its management and staff. The location is good, the accommodation satisfactory and the evening meal also OK, but we too were surprised to be treated as a bit of a bother rather than as welcome guests (and we speak French). Having booked for demi-pension in the middle... More

We stayed at this pleasant hotel after a walk over from Carennac on a walking holiday in May. The room was adequate with a very nice view and the evening meal was very good with excellent service from a young lady who probably was from this pretty village. Sadly it lost points because of a rather uncommunicative, unhelpful bar/reception/whatever man... More

I stayed at the Auberge de L'ile while hiking in the Dordogne region. It is a refuge from noise and traffic, with a little stream bubbling nearby. The rooms are clean, comfortable and simple. I had a drink in the treed and sunny courtyard. The dining room is excellent, specialising in duck and goose flesh, the speciality of the region.... More

This hotel offers a quiet place to stay. the hotel is adjacent to a wonderful old village with a church perched atop a hill with views across the Dordogne River. The rooms are perhaps a little old fashioned but like the whole hotel are spotlessly clean. Food was good with quite generous portions for France.

Excellent and peacefull place. A simple, clean and calm Logis de France over looking a gorgeous romantic little village in the shadows of old church towers. The Dordogne river is 200 yards away with a lovely rocky beach but if you prefer the hotel pool is also available. Food is traditional - with duck everywhere - but really good. A... More
