We've just returned as a couple from a four day break. We would happily return with the children as they are catered for as well. This is my first time in B and B and I wasn't disappointed. Far from it..... Jackie and Anthony have created an oasis of peace and relaxation. Where nothing was too much trouble. The rooms... More

Excellent B&B - loved it! No expense spared for the guests comfort. Incredible breakfasts based on produce from the farm. They even have their own clotted cream which you can buy and take home with you! Very friendly hosts and beautiful farm environment! Thank you very much Jackie and Anthony!

We stayed here for three nights for the somersault festival and had a great time. Jackie and Anthony were brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble. We were even given lifts to the festival site for a small charge. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice and all either homemade (jams and bread) or locally sourced (sausages and bacon).... I have stayed at the farm for 2 years whilst doing business in Devon. Always a very nice welcome and the owners Antony and Jackie are lovely people. Lovely rooms and surroundings and a great breakfast in the morning. I shall be staying again and I recommend to others for a nice peaceful break. Phillsr Southampton

We stayed here for 3 nights in late Sep. Jackie was the perfect hostess, greeting us with a lovely Devon cream tea. Room was on the small side but considering the farm is 16th century it was still fantastic. Breakfasts were huge cooked by Tony, homemade jams fantastic. There is a lounge room that you can utilise. Walked around the... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, when we had the 3 bedded family room. Good bathroom, clean all round and so on. My reservation is more of a cautionary point if you like a medium bed. The beds are probably the firmest I have ever tried to sleep, an I have a good quality 'firm' at home. Also, the general sitting... More

My husband, 2 year old daughter and I stayed here for a our first night stopover in Devon. We were looking for something relaxing with a traditional and rural feel and this really was exactly that. The room was perfect for us as our daughter had her own single bed in the same room, tucked into the corner and the... More

Having raised 4 children we know full well that if the children are happy, then you can relax and enjoy each others company too, hence the plentiful toys! The Devon cream tea on arrival seems to go down well, the scones are home-made as is the jam which is made from the fruit grown in the garden and the clotted... More

Terrific B&B on a working farm. Focus is on the substance of all the right things to make a great stay for a family - bedrooms, food, games / equipment. My 5 year old was presented with 2 day old moorhen chicks within about 10 mins of arrival and between that and the ping pong table in the shed he... More

Had a wonderful time at Huxtable Farm and really didn't want to leave. Apart from heading off to surf (30-45 mins away), my 6yr old would have happily stayed on the farm all day, every day (much down to farm dog Lupin and new friends from other families staying there I think!). Our room was apart from the main house... More

Antony and I appreciate you taking the time to write a review and so pleased that you enjoyed the tranquillity of Huxtable Farm. Lupin, the dog loves attention, as you know and is always happy to walk you around the Devon Wildlife Farm Trail. Soon after you departed 4 Guinea Fowl eggs hatched so the solo chick now has company!... More

We stayed in a family room which was well appointed and spotlessly clean. Jackie & Anthony the hosts were welcoming and attentive. The food was absolutely gorgeous and my petsonal favourite was Jackie's home made breads. 5 star service at 3 star prices ... The family loved it here.
