My girlfriend and I stayed for the first time at this marvellous retreat in August. The property is located in an idyllic location, the premises are perfect and beyond reproach as is the landlord and his very welcoming family. The Kings Head is a true gem of comfort, relaxation and good food and drink. We will definitely return and as soon as possible.... More

We happened upon the lovely Kings Head in Hursley and decided to stop for lunch. What a treat! The ambience was relaxing and the staff (especially Emily) were kind and attentive. We had a super lunch - the cheese soufflé starter was delicious and our steaks cooked perfectly. We will definitely return!

Stayed in room 1 De Blois, very nice and comfy bed, free standing bath and large walk in shower. Room was very spacious and extra touches such as biscuits and hot chocolate sachets were nice. We ate in the hotel's restaurant which was lovely, food was some of the nicest I have tasted and I would definitely recommend the cheese... More

A warm and genuine welcome sets you up for a very comfortable stay. The rooms are so tasteful - all guarded by little "dog door stops" I am only sorry to have arrived late in the evening having eaten en route because it looks like I missed out! Although a drink in the bar with friendly staff/locals set me up... More

My Husband and I had a nights stay at the Kingshead before a very important meeting close by. We have stayed in various hotels in different locations and we can honestly say this is on our top 5 favourite list! Check in was hassle free welcomed by two lovely members of staff. The room and pub were beautiful, very tastefully... More

Lovely place to stay for the night with beautiful gardens with blankets and candles. Staff were so friendly apon arrival. Beds were comfy, there was a noise outside out room all night from some kind of motor but we still slept through. Breakfast was okay, could have abit more choice. Would stay again.

Recently stayed for two nights in this lovely old coaching inn. Can't praise it highly enough! The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was large, bright and airy and the toiletries lovely. The staff were warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. We ate there on both nights and the food was superb. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful building and fantastic rooms. The food is second to none with excellent service in both the bar and restaurant. Can't recommend this place highly enough and will certainly be staying again. Only criticism is that I had the same room as a previous reviewer and the shower still drips and the tap needs fixing. But these small things can't... More

Great accommodation and very good food , we ate there on 2 evenings and had breakfast on 3 mornings......superb smoked salmon and scrambled egg and fried breakfast from lovely local produce. Our only niggles were the small things ,which could so easily be put right if there was the correct attention to detail. We stayed in the Cromwell Room, which... More

The King's Head is in the middle of Hursley just opposite the church. There is ample car parking. We had bedroom 2 which was large and airy with a big bathroom. Despite looking out on the main road we had a great night. The food was very well cooked with an excellent menu choice.
