We stayed recently for a one night stay for my Husbands Birthday. The food in the pub was good and was typical pub fayre. We had Fish and Chips and Pork Belly. The room was overpriced at £140 with little frills, no heating, a cheap double bed on wheels that moved when you got in it. Dull decor, televisions that... More

We visited for lunch on a Tuesday. The dining room is pleasant with chunky wooden tables decorated with daffodils. I ordered from the 'Two courses for £15' menu, choosing Salt beef with pickled red cabbage, followed by a Seafood Soup. My wife ordered Cheese Souffle. I enjoyed both courses, the slice of salt beef was covered by chopped cabbage, quite... More

Stayed here for one night, having an evening meal, nights stay and a breakfast. The establishment boasts an authentic and quaint atmosphere, with endearing touches that demonstrates a personal quality that is lacking in larger hotels and travel chains. The room was spacious and well maintained, and decorated in keeping with the look and feel of a traditional English Inn.... More

It was very clean and tidy , the room was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. You could not hear the noise from the bar downstairs. It was very quiet. We had the Edward v1 room with a four poster bed, it was lovely and comfortable . You also had toiletries in the... More

Having stayed here a few times, I can honestly say the team consistently deliver the best experience from start to finish. The Front of House team are Lovely, the rooms are plush and kept to an extremely high standard and the food is absolutely amazing whatever you choose.

From the meet and greet to the departure after two nights stay: nothing was too much trouble (not that anything needed extra attention), and all staff appeared to take their land-lady's lead: smiling, helpful attentiveness. My room - Edward VI - was very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was quick and of good quality; my evening... More

We spent New Years Eve at The Kings Head and what an outstanding time we all had. There was a large party of us and they catered to everyone's needs including a special 5 course menu for the two children in our party. Great atmosphere throughout the whole pub and a disco to accompany the whole experience. Looking forward to... More

We stayed here for a night and also ate in the restaurant. This pub has been recently tastefully redecorated so photos on here don't really do it justice. The landlady is very personable and on the ball. Room was comfortable although a bit warm despite the chilly December night-hence we left our window open. Being a pub expect noise from... More

We stayed here on route home and we had a very lovely welcome on arrival. We were very happy that we could book just the one night on Saturday as too many places now insist on a two night stay. The Kings Head is so attractive with very attentive staff with the main restaurant room especially beautiful and the food... More

We recently celebrated my husband's 70th birthday with a surprise party of over 40 family and friends at The Kings Head. They worked very closely with us in the planning as myself and immediate family do not live in Hampshire but friends and wider family do hence the venue. We had the very atmospheric and cosy skittle alley downstairs and... More
