My wife and I stayed there for one night on our way from Cancun to Merida. While being located on the main road of Piste it offers a rather peaceful experience because of the garden and the hotel's layout that faces away from the street. In walking distance (30m) you have a 7-11 and some food stands that make grilled... More

We arrived at this hotel after we finally escaped Cancun airport plus 2 hour drive. That first drink at the bar was nectar, but at a cost. We only had American dollars on us and when we ask to pay we were only given 10 pestos to the $, when the exchange was nearer to 15 to the $. Apart... More

I stayed at the Hotel Chichén Itzá in early March 2015 for a 1-night stay, enroute from flying into Cancun for a next-day early visit to the impressive Chichén Itzá archaeological site on the first stage of my 18-day 'Mysteries of the Maya' holiday operated by Voyages Jules Verne. For such a VERY short stay this hotel (we arrived late... More

In your impressively extensive review (after all, you just stayed for one night), you fail to mention VALUE. Where in the world do you rent a room for under $50 USD a night in a charming environment, on a very good location with good service ? You choose to stay in one of our yet to be remodeled rooms, for... More

We stayed at the Hotel Chichen Itza for just one night on 1 Apr 2015. It was just my two kids and I and so the hotel was able to accommodate us in just one room. As I checked in they had upgraded to nicer room at no additional charge. The manager and assistants spoke very good English and were... More

3 nights stay as part of Yucatan Explorer. Large room with 2 double beds with chairs outside overlooking the courtyard and swimming pool. Good food with quick service. All in all a good place to tour this part of the Yucatan.

The room is a basic room in this hotel in town and is relatively close to the ruins, but you do need a car. When we booked with Mayaland we thought we were at the Mayaland that one can walk to the ruins from. Do not know if they switched us or whether "Mayaland" is used by 2 different organizations... Sorry about your confusion.... The Mayaland Hotel and Bungalows as well as The Lodge at Chichen Itza are inside the archeological park. The Hotel Chichen Itza is in the nearby town of Piste. All family owned and operated by Mayaland Resorts. I have never heard about a client confusing the property where you stayed vs. those near the temples. Our... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of the Thomson Yucatan Explorer Tour. It was a great base for exploring Chichen Itza and the surrounding area. The room we had was clean and spacious with amazing towel art from our maid. There was also good free wifi. The breakfast was a la carte with a fruit platter,... More

Thanks for your nice review.... We are all sad that your comments are no match for the mediocre rating you gave us..... Yes, we are a 3 star hotel. But that does not mean you are limited to a 3 star grade. We strive to provide the best service, as you credit us with.... not reflected on the 3 out... More

Having experienced the awful immigration facilities at Cancun and then had a 2 hour coach trip I reached the hotel with trepidation. My fears were unfounded! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The Mexican version of toilets were not too distressing (leave toilet tissue in bin - do NOT flush it down toilet). Staff at breakfast were friendly and... For an inexpensive option close to chichen itza this hotel is a good option. Decent size rooms with large bathroom, pool and restaurant. Food was some of the better food we had in Mexico, though buffet breakfast wasn't the most inspiring start to a day, especially for the price! WiFi only worked in lobby and bar which is slightly annoying.

Just an overnight stay, with 10pm arrival and 8.30 departure the following morning. However, welcoming staff, comfy beds and fully operational a/c. Breakfast was either omelette, pancake or scrambled eggs with a few little breads and a plate of fruit. Simple but nicely served and very edible. Swimming pool looked very welcoming but we never got the chance to try... More
