Stayed here in 2012 and 2013 and both times I really enjoyed my stay. The beds are really good and the rooms were always clean. Nice employees also. If you want to do outside activities you can arrange that with the reception. The only disadvantage is that it's located like 2km away from the city centre but a taxi ride... More

The receptionist was very helpful and saved our day! A rafting company failed to pick us up. The receptionist at Camino Real then spent 20min on the phone calling the 1st company and then arranging a trip with a different company. We came here to raft...and we couldn't have rafted without her help. Beautiful grounds too. Taxi from town should... More

We stayed at this hotel on arrival, but we were a little disappointed and found another one on our list the next morning. It's along a river with a nice backdrop. Rooms are neat but a little small and water heater is not reliable which is a real issue considering the temperature of the water. Service has kind of a... More

We were warmly welcomed at the front desk by nice man claiming to be the owner, he accommodated me, my wife and our three children in a very nice room with single beds and a large double bed. The decoration of the room was according to the romantic atmosphere of the hotel and all areas where clean. They had two... More

Their guard dog ATTACKED me (completely unprovoked) ruining a $150.00 Gore-Tex jacket & leaving puncture wounds in my arm & hand (see pictures in Traveller Photos). Save your money and find somewhere less dangerous (and nicer) than this place.... My wife, myself & another couple stayed here for two nights while in San Gil in April 2014. At first we... More

Ok place, sort of out of the way (good or bad depending) and the restaurant was closed for some odd reason so had either to get a cab to town or have their help in ordering something delivered. Sort of expensive for what you get. I didn't like their smoking policy - had to exit the entire property. I understand... More

There were only very few customers and therefore hardly any staff members. During our stay they where fixing the floor around the pool which made the setting unpleasant. But what disturbed most was the noise from the main rood, which is actually not very near but the huge trucks are very noisy. Since the hotel is outside the city we... More

My family and I drove around San Gil looking for the perfect place during an impromptu road trip. We found Hotel Campestre Camino Real and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The landscaping at the property made us feel like we were in the tropics. The staff was very friendly and hard working. Our room had 2 bunk... More

Great hotel, would definitely stay again! The hotel was very well situated, beautiful view & very central to all te touristic attractions. It is a little hidden but the staff guided us to it very well through the phone. The staff was great, very easygoing, friendly, and always ready to fulfill our needs. The overall appearance of the hotel is... More
