This was the best price for a private room that I could find in the city. There were some things I liked about it: garden with the hammocks and outdoor tables were good, the kitchen was nice and spacious, the hangout room was nice - people seemed to feel at home and watched movies and such. Bathrooms were frequently cleaned.... More

Hello, Thank For your review, just want to make a couple of things clear. Like you mentioned, the guests a lot of times feel like home in the hostel with its natural feel of the colonial style that exists here in town. Most of the time the spirit in the guesthouse is very calm but of course, sometimes arrive people... More

We stayed in a double room for two nights. The room itself was nice, decent size, clean. The common area is spacious, too. Good selections of films, they also have a computer and the staff can book tours. The only thing to improve is the garden, which could be a bit nicer.

Basic room with comfy bed and good value for money. Would have been 4 star rating if not for the host. Typically french, we found dealing with him uncomfortable and slightly condescending. Not sure why but he didn't seem to like us and we did not feel welcome. I would recommend you can speak Spanish or French if you stay... More

Hi there, It's quite a big surprise to read you commentary and the bad punctuation you gave us. Especially after seeing you always looking very happy here, after you spent three days here instead of the two you were planning on when you first got to the hostel and after we kept your luggage the last day in order for... The dormitory was clean, the entire staff is incredibly friendly, wonderfully relaxing garden, the kitchen fully supplied and big enough for a few people to cook at the same time. Everyone is really respectful and met some wonderful folk here. Cheers!

For us this was a bit of a disappointment, reviews were very positive but we had a bit of a different experience. We stayed in a private room (shared bathroom) and it was noisy (even though the place is quite calm) and overall the place was not as clean as was expected. On the other hand, the staff was very... A great and laid back Hostel in San Gil at excellent value. Take a taxi there if you have large bags since it's up a steep hill! Double room was decent sized and very clean with places to hang stuff and shelves plus a big comfy sofa seat and fan. Our room had a window on to the enclosed courtyard... More

Cheap, clean, nice rooms, well equiped kitchen, super friendly owner and that for 35.000 pesos for a double room.. Do I need to say more? Absolutely the best option in town. On your way to the central plaza are some great bakeries, so the five minute walk is no punishment!

I had a lovely time at Hostal Le Papillon atop the wee hill and 5mins from the main plaza. I stayed four nights in the dorm which had comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The hostal was always clean and tidy and felt like home with a constant supply of delicious coffee in the well-equipped kitchen. Ximena was absolutely wonderful... More

Don't know where to start. Everything was great. Comfortable beds in large private room. Nice large kitchen, with free coffee all day long. Also, it is the best coffee that we drunk during the trip so far! Garden was good for relaxation, with hammocks. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. The activities that they provide are as far... More
