You can't do better than Castello di Sinio if you are visiting the Piedmont for wine tasting. My wife and I stayed four days and were delighted. The location is great, very close to Barolo and fifteen minutes from Barbaresco. Denise and the staff were wonderful, very attentive and eager to help plan out days and provide recommendations for wineries... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your lovely review. I am truly gratified that you had an excellent experience with us and that when you come back to visit our beautiful Barolo wine country you will stay with us again. That is what I always hope for and work towards! This response is my New Year’s... More

This place is magical. First of all, Denice, the owner, chef and concierge is amazing. She is a wealth of information about the area, from restaurants to markets to wineries and picturesque drives. Everything about Piedmont is extremely well organized in a booklet she wrote and gives you upon arrival. On top of that she is an outstanding chef and... More

This place is incredible!!! It would be lovely on it's own just for the location in the Barolo wine country and charm of the castle, but Denise and her staff make the place exceptional! We have had the privilege of living/traveling in Italy for a couple years and will say this is one of the best places we have had... More

My husband and I recently spent 5D4N at the Executive Superior Room of Hotel Castello di Sinio. From the point of booking confirmation to the end of our stay (plus more!), hospitality and service was at a very personal level with none other than the owner / chef / manager Denise Pardini herself. Frankly, at the point of booking, what... More

I have been blessed to travel widely in the world and I must say that this is one of the greatest venues ever. If you are within 500 miles of this place it is not to be missed. The owner, Denise Pardini, makes you feel absolutely like family. She takes you by the hand and provides you with a local... More

My wife and I have been staying in this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary. We have travelled to many locations but this hotel is one of the best places we have ever been. An unforgettable experience ideal for our special occasion. The place is immaculate with attention to every detail but still retaining the historic atmosphere of a medieval... More

Who would think that a medieval castle, even restored could be so comfortable? Me and 2 girlfriends recently visited this amazing property. Denise, the owner greets you personally and provides you with an overview of the area with suggestions on how best to enjoy your visit. We had a car but the hotel will make arrangements for a driver to... More

Exquisitely restored, squeaky clean. Beautiful in every way, owner Denise misses no detail...including a tray of wonderful amari for those returning from dinner somewhere else. It is a bit remote, so plan on enjoying the peace & quiet!

This castle sits on the top of a small hill surrounded by a beautiful village and all you can see for miles are beautiful vineyards and more castles on top of mountain villages. The location is amazing. We visited on our honeymoon during the summer and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food and wine of the region is just unbelievable.... More

I am so glad these Honeymooners appreciated the property, the cleanliness, the Concierge services provided – taxis, guides, winery appointments, inside knowledge generously shared - the garden, the food at breakfast and at dinner. Interestingly it was me, Denise, that “intruded” to arrange the taxis and excursions for them, as I do for anyone. It was also my food at... More

Denise is amazing!! From her color-coded maps to her delicious restaurant to her obvious passion for the region, there is no contest for where to stay in Piedmont. We stayed for two nights and when we left I felt the need to give Denise a hug (and I am not a hugger). We ate at her restaurant both nights and... More
