Driving through the wrought iron gates to be be greeted by Andrea, Giovanna, and Mauro, we knew this was a right choice. It kept getting better. Drinks were served at reception while we were signed in. A full orientation was done, not just of the beautifully restored Costello, but a complete written guide of the area was explained. "Denise's Mini Gude"... More

We spent three wonderful days at this hotel. The rooms, the service, the food, the staff and especially the owner, Denise Pardini, was fantastic. We were pampered from the time we arrived and greeted by Denise and her staff personally. We were given a glass of sparking wine during check in and showed to our room. Our luggage was already... The title tells it all. Having traveled world-wide for some 50 years, this property & management are at the top of the list. Let's begin with the location which is "ground zero" for being in the Piedmont area of Italy. All the wonderful wineries and world famous villages such as Barolo, Barbaresco are just a few kilometers away. Denise Pardini,... More

What makes this really shine is the owner, Denise. This is a four star hotel that outshines all four stars! From her attention to details and her ability to assist you in finding the best possible tour, restaurant or wine, Denise can be your personal planner. The rooms are exquisitely furnished. Beds have memory foam comfort mattresses and pillows. The... More

Denise is a fantastic host and chef and is inspiring her staff to make you feel just so welcome. From the time we were served spumante on arrival by the pool until we were provided help on departing at 06:30, there was not a disappointing moment for the three days we stayed. Wonderful rooms, nice home-cooked breakfast, beautiful surroundings with... More

Quite perfect is the only way to describe this lovely hotel in the heart of the stunning landscapes and wineries of the Barolo region in Piemonte. Denise, the American owner ans exec chef of the hotel ensures that each guest is welcomed and made to feel at home. The restaurant is superb, the garden terrace for breakfast is a delight,... More

Had a great stay here. The manager goes out of her way to make this place fun and interesting! The dinner up the hill is convenient but it is a dining experience...not fast at all. Breakfast was delicious, and good for the day!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Castello di Sinio for 5 nights in July. It truly was a great experience as Denise attends to even detail, no matter how big or small. From the delicious breakfasts to the spotless rooms, she is tireless. To name a few of the nice touches - the bed was... More

We spent 3 nights relishing the experience of Denise's hospitality and cooking. Like many other reviewers, we are frequent, global travelers who agree that Denise has created the best small hotel experience we have had. Denise's attention to detail, her presence and willingness to help guests plan their day and of course her cooking are unparalleled. And she has built... More

We returned to the Castello for a fourth visit, it is so good we can not resist! What more can I add that hasn't been said in previous reviews? It is all true, this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere and certainly the best restaurant. There is no doubt that we will return, as like the... More
