First of all I just want to say shame on anyone complaining about the state of the beach or hotel after it was hit by Yolanda/Haiyan. I'm appalled that people have the audacity to complain about electricity or tv problems when most people in the area were living off of aid and had lost their homes and businesses. Maybe next... I decided to take a week off and travel to a quiet island, where I could rest and disconnect from the busy world for awhile. After reading some traveller's reviews I chose Santa Fe and decided to go for The Coral Blue Oriental Beach Villas & Suites. This decision was mainly based on how fantastic the bamboo construction looked in... More

Bantayan Island is one of the much talked about islands of the Philippines. It was badly hit by typhoon Haiyan and it still extensively shows. Following advise and reviews that list Coral Blue Oriental as the #1 resort of the island we booked there at the rate of Pesos 5500 (approx USD 120) per night incl. cotinental breakfast which by Philippines... When I booked this resort, I was debating whether to go for this or Anika. I had doubts because of negative reviews but I loved the pictures I saw online so I booked 2 nights at Coral Blue and 3 nights in Anika due to its positive reviews. Thank God I trusted my instinct to book this. Here's my story.... More

The resort just has 5 rooms and right on the beach. The good things: Good food, our balcony facing the beach and being able to eat at the table and 2 chairs there on our own balcony (they'll bring the food from their restaurant to your room). Beautiful sunsets and great location. The "not-so-good".: Hotel restaurant is about double price... More

We stayed three nights in one of the beach front suites. The room was comfortable except the bathroom that were too dark and the floor stayed wet during the whole time because of the uneven tiles. We didn't feel that the staff were committed to make our stay as good as possible. The restaurant is far from good and there... More

We are a family of seven who had stayed a week at another resort on Bantayan island. We extended our stay by 1 night and booked into The Coral Blue as our previous resort was booked out. The Coral Blue had their 2 bedroom villa available for the night, however this only slept 4 and so we were charged extra... More

I’m a high school teacher, and indeed, I spent my 7-day Christmas vacation here. After all has been said and done, this must be the best vacation I’ve ever had in my 27 years of enjoying life. Needless to say how welcoming the staff were as they housed me with genuine smile! Mr. Joseph and Ms. Roselyn Cutamora (to be... More

Stayed in suite 1 between Christmas and NYE and, given the price we paid compared to other resorts in the area (the ones still standing), we thought we were going to have a fantastic service and relaxing time – far from that. No essential amenities in the room, shower didn’t work, cheap plastic toilet seat, tarnished lime-scale encrusted taps, dirty... More
