What really makes the Yooneek Resort "yooneek" are the owners Juan and Bernie. I am an American away from home for the Holidays and Juan and Bernie had a nice Christmas dinner for their expanded family and all the guests. We did not stay here but just hanged out for a couple of drinks. We also swam in their beach, because our resort's beach front was not "swimable". We both thought we should stay here the next time we visit Bantayan.

In the wake of Halloween with awesome detailed decorations everywhere, we really enjoyed our stay here - despite the intrusion of days of "brownouts" (blackouts, really) and the attendant lack of AC - none of which are attributable to any failings of the resort itself. Yooneek beach resort is not really that unique as its name suggests, but it is a very nice resort with good service, clean rooms, bathrooms, good food, and a nice beach front. From Sta. When i first saw Yoonek from it's side entrance, it seemed pretty ordinary. But as you enter you can see the well-maintained native-look exteriors and a pretty interesting bar and resto-hut.
