Great location on the north end of Karon Beach, the beach is just across the road (you can rent chairs and umbrellas for a low price on the beach), and it's within walking distance to the tiny downtown area and lots of restaurants. Bungalow type rooms set in garden are clean and serviced. Being off-season the breakfast menu is very limited, but none-the-less enjoyable. Reception staff are helpful and smiling.

Pros - Price THB 1000 for 1 night or 1400 for 2 nights for a small hut. Cons - Old huts. - Lousy showers / toilets. - Swimming pool is greenish colour. Is a brave person to go swimming in that pool! - Very unfriendly, unhelpful and unknowable office staff. Definitely not khon Thai!
