The place: If you've been to Bali - Phuket is better. You don't get hassled walking down the street (except by the occassional suit salesman). Great service by helpful and friendly staff. The hotel has nice grounds. We had a room on the 6th floor of the Terraces with an ocean view and it was quite noisy on the weekend. Great hotel area and lovely pools for both children and adults. We stayed at family building close to children's pool, room is big but needs renovation. Breakfast ok but not more, I miss cheese. Very unfriendly staff in reception, no flexibility, no interest to find good solutions when they made mistakes. More

The hotels location is great, right in the middle of Karon which is a great resort not as busy and crazy as Patong but plenty going on. If you didn't get the private cabana or the new wing with ocean views then what you get is a two or three star experience. This is not the kinda of place if you want piece quiet and tranquility.
