this resort opened recently, during Christmas-time (peak season) it was not completed. Our list was full of complaints. dirty smell in the rooms, no light, we booked 6 weeks before a 3 bedroom suite there was equipped for two persons, etc etc.....

We arrived at Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket, in expectation of a fabulous new resort, but only to be extremely disappointed. The first thing which appeared to us was that there was littel efficient service to take care of our luggage at arrival. “Magnificent Resort”

I have travelled to Thailand numerous times and usually stay in Patong but decided to stay away from there this time. The resort is excellent, the only down fall is that staff do not understand english and at times its frustrating trying to explain what you want.
