My colleagues and I booked the hotel for 4 nights as we were working in the area. Very impressive building. The ceilings are amazing and the views from the hotel are lovely. At night, it was very quiet outside. I could hear the occasional animal sound but certainly no traffic noises. HOWEVER!!!!! We were unaware that the hotel had been... More

Stayed just one night as part of a birthday long weekend and on way home. My husband was aware that there was currently no restaurant facilities so had made alternative arrangements. We stayed in one of the castle rooms which was spacious and clean. 6ft bed. Large ensuite with sunken bath. No towel rail so improvised by using the double... More

My partner and I came to say at studley castle for 1 night as a little get away. We arrived at reception and were greeting by a very nice receptionist. She informed us on arrival that the restaurant was closed but food could still be ordered from the bar. Now on booking there was a section for special requests in... More

Having read the reviews prior to spending the last twenty-four hours here we were filled with dread at traveling such a distance for disappointment. Needn't have worried to be honest. Arrival is impressive, whilst it is possible to see the castle from the main road you don't get an idea of splendor but once you're approaching on the main driveway... More

We had a great stay at Studley Castle. We stayed in the castle side of the building. Room 1, Sunken bath was a nice touch. Could do with a refresh but for the price we could not fault it. I would stay here again.

Having read the reviews before arriving, we were a little worried about what it would be like. However we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was warm, clean and the breakfast options were great! For the price, you cannot expect to stay in a 5-star castle. But instead you get a peaceful and beautiful location with lots of personality!

The building is beautiful, set in extensive grounds. Faded grandeur is still grandeur of a sort, and this was a pleasant enough location for a one-night getaway. I can imagine, however, that we might have been a little disappointed if we had travelled a greater distance. The food was rather good, although some of the staff were less than joyful.

After reading the reviews before attending I was concerned about this venue. Considering the problems they had had over Xmas with staff walking out I thought they did a very good job to accommodate under the circumstances. The castle has lots of character, felt homely and I am sure will will be stunning in the near future. (after going under... More

As a regular at Warner's Adult Holidays we went for a look at the hotel before it is closed then converted to a warner's hotel .We went 10/11 January in room 302 which was a superior room at the rear of the hotel overlooking lawns, fields and trees. The reception staff and all other staff were great as was our... More
