Mid trip stay to SE France near Auxerre. First visit and what a delight in the Chablis region. Delightful hosts, delightful room full of chacter but modern enough for my needs, shower, comfort station, safe parking and best of all delicious food at dinner. PD did not disappoint either. Its a bit off the main route to Auxerre but in... More

Our family of four spent the last night of our trip in France here. Both upstairs rooms / suites allocated were very tastefully restored & extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly owners, even though we were the only guests that night. Full menu available for dinner, pleasantly accompanied by a bottle of Petit Chablis. Continental breakfast... More

Rooms small but adequate. I have travelled a fair bit and am used to the vagaries of remote controls but couldn't work out their A/C controls. Room, restaurant and wine prices were very good value. Owner will try to help with GF dishes. Motorbikes were parked in the barn, a very much appreciated gesture

Stayed two nights four years ago and the hotel is as good as ever. Comfortable rooms with bath and tea making facilities. Excellent dinner with inexpensive wines, good breakfast and genial host - what more could you want!

We stayed one night here as all hotels in Chablis seemed full, and this one had rooms and good TA reports. Our room had twin beds as their doubles are only 140cm. It was very cold in the room and no radiators were on. It was only late at night as I was rummaging for another blanket that I noticed... More

nicely extended hotel with lots of nice new rooms added sympathetically to a very old building. Good food, very quiet location/village. Perhaps a trifle "stuffy" in the dining room, but this may be a Burgundy feature. highly recommended.

We stayed for one night, wished we'd stayed longer, and are looking forward to going back. A warm welcome (in excellent English) from M. le Patron, an excellent room with efficient aircon (worth paying the extra for a superior room, I think). Tea- and coffee-making facilities in the room, but no milk. Odd, that. Dinner was marvellous - we were... More

We went to the Relais for dinner with friends whilst staying in the area. We had an excellent meal and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The food was excellent and was accompanied by some very good local wines. The service was also good.

So, we arrive, a bit sweaty and tired after seven hours of cycling. We are shouted at to "put the bikes in the barn!" Barn? Where? "PUT THE BIKES IN THE BARN!" Not the most pleasant of welcomes. However the room was lovely, albeit being shown there was not done with much friendliness. And the dinner was lovely too. Albeit... More

This hansome village house, built in the 17th Century by a local tax official, and more recently a German HQ in the second wold war and most recently a girls' school, was turned into an hotel by the present owners 25 odd years ago. Comfortable, large (but not luxurious) bedrooms, good traditional food at modest prices, a reasonably priced wine... More
