We stayed one night here as all hotels in Chablis seemed full, and this one had rooms and good TA reports. Our room had twin beds as their doubles are only 140cm. It was very cold in the room and no radiators were on. It was only late at night as I was rummaging for another blanket that I noticed... More

nicely extended hotel with lots of nice new rooms added sympathetically to a very old building. Good food, very quiet location/village. Perhaps a trifle "stuffy" in the dining room, but this may be a Burgundy feature. highly recommended.

We stayed for one night, wished we'd stayed longer, and are looking forward to going back. A warm welcome (in excellent English) from M. le Patron, an excellent room with efficient aircon (worth paying the extra for a superior room, I think). Tea- and coffee-making facilities in the room, but no milk. Odd, that. Dinner was marvellous - we were... More

We went to the Relais for dinner with friends whilst staying in the area. We had an excellent meal and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The food was excellent and was accompanied by some very good local wines. The service was also good.

So, we arrive, a bit sweaty and tired after seven hours of cycling. We are shouted at to "put the bikes in the barn!" Barn? Where? "PUT THE BIKES IN THE BARN!" Not the most pleasant of welcomes. However the room was lovely, albeit being shown there was not done with much friendliness. And the dinner was lovely too. Albeit... More

This hansome village house, built in the 17th Century by a local tax official, and more recently a German HQ in the second wold war and most recently a girls' school, was turned into an hotel by the present owners 25 odd years ago. Comfortable, large (but not luxurious) bedrooms, good traditional food at modest prices, a reasonably priced wine... More

Great value hotel, set in an unspoilt square of a quiet town with very pretty corners, about 6 miles from Chablis and convenient for Auxerre. We had a beautiful, large room with bath looking out over the inner courtyard; we went for the best of the three categories of rooms and still only spent 80 euros; there are cheaper choices... More

M Jacques was an excellent host and the night we stayed there was first rate. The one minor criticism was that there is no designated bar area, but this is a minor detail. The food was delicious and the room comfortable. Would certainly visit again.

Agree with previous reviewers-comfortable inn not far from Chablis .Friendly owners,(The husband speaks better English than his wife) . We chose a "comfort"room which was indeed large and comfortable. The inn itself is old and atmospheric but the bedrooms/bathrooms have modern facilities , including free wifi Perfect combination of old and new.. Quiet village-not much to do out of season... More
