I stayed at Chateau de Villiers le Mahieu for three nights while on a work trip in the area. I was not part of a group. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon, hoping to have a late lunch at the informal restaurant. I ordered an omelet and a glass of wine. It took 30 minutes to be served one glass... More

Charming Chateau in beautiful location but rude staff in bar area. Thankfully the Manager saved the day with a couple of goodwill gestures. Well worth a visit as the location is stunning but the hospitality factor leaves a lot to be desired. Only a twenty minute drive to Monet's Garden which was the reason for our trip. Would thoroughly recommend... More

Arrived to a beautiful chateau, went to reception desk and met by a miserable and rude young lady, credit cards wouldn't work, tried to blame me, actually checked with my bank and they had no attempt made on my card, presumably their machine was not working. No room service, told there was wine in mini bar, none, not a 4... More

My wife and I travel to this property regularly and have had nothing but fabulous experiences. The food is great, the SPA is fantastic, the accommodations are outstanding. We highly recommend it for a romantic retrat away from everything. THe property has everything one might need for relaxation (SPA, Bar, etc...) and entertainment (Pool; Golf, Tennis, Billiard, canoeing, etc...)

It is a charming property. I stayed there with my family this summer after visiting the Thoiry zoological park. we were fascinated with the charm of this chateaux, its gate & entrance as we arrived. But, when we lost this feeling as we entered the rooms despite the warm and welcoming attitude of the reception staff. The restaurant service &... More

The buildings and grounds of the Chateau are faultless. Picture postcard. But this is not why we are here. We've been driving all day and are hoping for a really comfy (and luxurious) stop over. Everything is just OK, but in sore need of refreshing. The rooms and common spaces are a bit shabby, the staff clearly not loving their... More

From the surroundings, the historical grounds, the park and its maintenance; your arrival exceeds your expectation. Not even out of your car, an attendant greats you in parking lot and assists you to the Chateau for check in! Staff is 5 star professional. Rooms are updated and comfortable yet maintaining the charm and furnished chateau style! The spa is incredible!!!... More

We probably would have liked this place more with more time to spend there. As it was we did not take advantage of the activities offered so the price for what we did receive was high in my opinion. Our fault, not theirs. I came away thinking this is not a place to just stop for the night as we... More

From the start till the end a perfect stay. Only minor was that there's no restaurant in the Castel and the breakfast in the weekend of a weekday is completely different and that the Castel is a little bit outlying.

We arrived on a very wet and windy night. The car park is relatively far from the Check-in and we were fortunate to be able to stop a guy in a buggy who took us with suitcases to the desk. Our room was beautiful, wood panels and in a tower with windows looking out over the moat. Unfortunately, the water... More
