From the start till the end a perfect stay. Only minor was that there's no restaurant in the Castel and the breakfast in the weekend of a weekday is completely different and that the Castel is a little bit outlying.

We arrived on a very wet and windy night. The car park is relatively far from the Check-in and we were fortunate to be able to stop a guy in a buggy who took us with suitcases to the desk. Our room was beautiful, wood panels and in a tower with windows looking out over the moat. Unfortunately, the water... More

It is a pity that with such a nice property the management isn't careful of the details that would truly make it 5 stars instead of 3. You can't call it a luxury retreat if: you don't have valet parking, the guests can't bring the car to the front door to unload the luggage and passengers but rather have to... More

we stayed 3 days for a company seminary early december : castle is lovely with a beautiful park but "useless" in winter time (small outdoor pool but again only from june to september ) ; it is in the middle of nowhere ( you can only drive there, no public tranportation ) so place to go in spring or summer.... We spent a romantic 2 nights / 3 days stay at Chateau Villiers le Mahieu. We stayed at La Frenaye (an extension relatively recent compared to the castel) , for the price and for proximity with the restaurant and the spa. We absolutely loved to walk in the parks, and the castel is magnificent. So bad that : - the... More

We spent a weekend there just after the Easter so it was cheaper and not crowded. The Hotel's offer for a 2 room bed without breakfast was 162Euros. As I couldn't get my international driving license on time, we decided to take the train from Montparnasse to Garancieres-La Queue and walk the remaining 6.2 km to the hotel. It's almost... More

Wonderful gardens, beautiful rooms, lovely spa, peace and quiet. The castle itself is nicer than the annexes, so try to reserve a room in that. The golf place looks well kept ans spacious. Prices are on the high side but taht is to be expected in a place this exquisit. Great for aromantic get away.

After reading some of the comments posted here i was hesitating if we leave our booking or just reserve elsewhere. The palace is very far from the train station specially on weekends, but if you do like we did you ll be more than happy. It was for my birthday, we arroved on a friday, by bus, had to walk... More

Beautiful and romantic hotel. With all rooms you can book state, it clearly states which part of the complex the room is located. So beware, you're not always in the castle itself. Which didn't matter to us. At he reception in the castle we were nicely received and a golf cart brought us to nearby complex. A ride through the... More

We attended a wedding reception at the Chateau in August and wow what an exceptional venue! The food was outstanding from the canapes out in the courtyard with a brass band playing in the background to a seated served main course and dessert in their ballroom. The rooms overlook beautiful gardens and the air conditioner worked well for a hot... More
