We can recommend this guesthouse to everyone! Nice, big and clean rooms. The restaurant have tasty food to en reasonable price. The owner and the staff are very helpful. more

Ended our 2 week vacation with 3 days at the Southern Fried Rice. Friend recommended this place to us and we will recommend it others. Rooms, food, atmosphere, everything is great. Wife and I stayed for 7 nights. Cheap and extremely good. Had a nice room that was cleaned everyday without fail. Located about 400m to northern entrance of kata beach. We really enjoyed the hospitality Terry and his staff gave us. We stayed 3 and a half weeks with them and the girls taught us some Thai language, cooked up our prawns for us and generally made us feel like extended family. more
This guesthouse, marvellously chaired by mr Terje Hoff (former Norwegian chess champion), is a great surprise. The rooms are spacy, clean and of course air conditioned. The food is really excellent. we picked "Southern Fried Rice" after going through several hotel reviews and I'm glad we did. It was perfect for our holiday. Very very neat, classy interior, good food, convenient location, budget pricing, and friendly people. Simple, yet much more than the basic. cant compare it to any hotel cos it felt just like home. more
