We stayed 5 and 6 July as the previous two we had stayed earlier in our trip were no longer offering special prices. Aspasia was in some ways much nicer than Avista and Katathani Phutket Beach resort in that the room was really large and lovely and the outdoor corridors were colourful with attractive railings (although a veritable maze with... First expressions are wow as the view out to the sea from the lobby/reception is amazing. The welcome drinks were delicious and the receptionist walked us to our rooms which was a necessity as the rooms would be hard to find with the layout of the place. The sea view rooms have gorgeous views even from the bed. The rooms... More

Some tips to get there: We took an affordable but slow 200 bht shared minibus from the airport which took about an hour and dropped us off in front of the lobby. Do not take a minibus if you are tired or in a hurry, for our driver took us to some random travel agent about 15 to 20 minutes... More

I like that this resort supports a relatively small number of guests (only about 46 suites and villas) but the grounds are very expansive and rooms extremely large and spacious. Clean and relatively new, but showing a bit of wear and tear in the bathroom. There are 4 floors spread out over lush gardens; it is very quiet and private... More

The hotel is located at the middle level of a small hill. It is constructed by the hill side and connected to the Kata beach with a private grassy sidewalk. We loved to spent hours of playing at the upper and lower pool and the beach. The beach seems to be an extension of the pools of this hotel. It... More

Stayed for 4 nites. Rooms are nice and big but the mantainance of the rooms, specially air conditioners and the sleeping mattresses is poor. Out of 4 nites, 3 nites the air cons hardly worked, though the engineers spent nearly 10 to 12 hours rectifying them. Also they were unable to change the broken mattress. Property is well located but... More

Kata beach is quite busy but this hotel is perfectly located, 5 min walk to the north side of Kata beach and to shops, restaurants and cafes. Can rate hotel as a 4 star, service was good, restaurant food was great, breakfast lacked on variety but was very good

The hotel is really nice, well maintained, amazing rooms, beautiful bathroom and shower! location is ok. On top of an hill between Karon and Kata, if you can't drive a motorbike and don't like to walk, avoid this hotel. But what to say about the service at the hotel, a real disappointment, from the reception ladies to the maid, there... More

The Aspasia is located at the very northern tip of Kata beach. Kata has grown to be a little too busy for my taste - it is definitely not the quiet beach I saw when I visited the first time 17 years ago. However, the Aspasia escapes it all. It is a very steep climb both up to the hotel... More

We stayed in March 2014 as part of our honeymoon in Thailand. The hotel is beautiful, sitting on a hillside overlooking the beach. The staff were very pleasant and courteous, the pool areas and gardens were beautifully kept. We emailed in advance having read reviews about connecting doors between rooms, as this obviously wasn't ideal on our honeymoon! On arrival... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Recently created in the south of the island of Phuket, The Aspasia is a stylish boutique resort reflecting an unusual retro-deco design with hints of Mayan style architecture. The muted yellow and green hues of the buildings blend exotically with the colours of the lush forest that sweeps down to Kata Beach. Each secluded apartment has stunning sea views, and guests only have a two minute walk to the white, sandy beach below. With the accent firmly lying on tranquility, comfort and contemporary style, The Aspasia Phuket offers a choice of superior accommodation and facilities that includes restaurant, a wine and cigar shop, two swimming pools, a gymnasium, business centre, meeting room, high-speed wireless Internet access and spa. Original paintings and antiques are displayed in the spa, restaurant and lobby, complementing the style of decor. There is easy access between the twelve buildings and facilities forming the resort. The property is set amongst beautifully landscaped gardens, filled with colourful tropical planting. ... more   less
