Beautifully placed rooms with sensational views, perfect beds and an ultimately relaxing stay.I often stay here and always enjoy my stay. From the moment you arrive it is such a beautiful place to get away.

We were very comfortable in Room 211, and enjoyed the continental breakfasts (until the Monday morning 1/6 when there seemed to be used food items left in the servery, no dishes for marmalade etc, no honey). The location is slightly inconvenient when driving back to Charlestown, or coming down the Highway from the city.

Excellent as usual however the chef still can't manage the bacon or eggs to our liking - the room is great and the balcony offers great views to the west. This is the only place I consider when visiting Charlestown.

Although I live in Sydney Newcastle is my home town. Driving from Tenterfield I did not want to harass my relations for dinner and bed at 8 pm so I opted for a Motel My first choice was the one on the beach, but it was closed down, my second choice was opposite the railway station, and although the sign... We were travelling and had not booked anywhere. It was late when we were arrived. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room we had was clean, very comfortable and spacious. It was also very reasonably priced.

room was spacious, clean staff friendly and cooperative. Room was ready in advance of time set. Provision of toiletries and towels was in excess of what was needed. Bed was spacious and very comfortable.

The hotel was lovely, although I did not dine in the hotel. The only thing I found a little difficult was getting luggage up and down the stairs in the small wing of the hotel for the rooms near reception. Other than that, the rooms were great, spacious and lovely and clean, opening up to a little balcony overlooking a... More

Just needed a place to stay for a few days in Hunter Valley and the Newcastle area. Staff all very friendly, room very clean and comfortable, easy parking and reasonable rate. Only downside were the hours for room service or restaurant combined with lack of nearby stores or restaurants.
