Just returned from 3 nights in the Coleridge Suite and it was excellent. Huge room, beautifully appointed. The garden was also superb. Ann and Manor could not have done more to make our stay memorable with great breakfasts and good advice on local places of interest, pubs and restaurants etc. even making reservations for us and organising a local taxi... We stopped in the Coleridge room and were amazed at this beautiful and spacious room. We were so inspired by the history of this house and that Coleridge stayed in this room to write. A fantastic breakfast and a wonderful welcome from Ann and Manor has made us determined to come back to this excellent accomodation which is a perfect... More

Stayed in Keepers Quarters (self-catering) for a week from 21.06.14. Wonderful accommodation and Manor and Ann are such lovely people. We were warmly welcomed and they went out of their way to make sure our stay was really enjoyable. We do hope we can make it back there again sometime as we had such a nice week.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in the Coleridge Suite - the room Tom Poole provided for Coleridge to write. This is the biggest room we have ever stayed in and it is comfortable and peaceful. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is terrific - the poached eggs are particularly recommended. We... More

Just stayed for one night taking both the B&B rooms. The double room was very large and was very nicely furnished with lots of windows looking out over the amazing garden. Very comfortable bed with bathroom just across the landing. Second twin room was also very comfortable and incorporated its own ensuite bathroom. Breakfast was all freshly cooked and very... More

How kind of you to write a review so swiftly following your stay. I am also impressed that you managed to stay on message despite the England defeat that you stayed up to watch. Glad you enjoyed the experience and I hope that you will take the opportunity to come back to us again as there is much the area... More

As travellers from Australia and not knowing much about the Quantocks we were so fortunate to have chosen The Old House from Trip Advisor. We spent a most delightful, relaxing week here. The Garden Wing is very comfy with all amenities for self catering. Breakfast on patio in the English sunshine in the most delightful garden will be fondly remembered.... More

We were fortunate to land on The Old House as our choice of starting point for a walk along the Coleridge Way to Porlock (36 Miles). The accommodation was first class, breakfast even better and the extensive gardens, part walled, were worthy of an admission charge. Our hosts, Manor and Ann, could not have been more welcoming and helpful.

What a lovely report and we are delighted you enjoyed your visit and we hope you will return to enjoy a relaxing break with us next time. I will give your suggestion of charging visitors entrance some consideration ! The Coleridge way is now becoming very popular as it is easily managed over 3 to 4 days. Thank you for... More

We recently stayed here for 2 nights in the Coleridge room. The room was lovely (very spacious), and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was first class (highly recommend the fruit salad). The proprietors were really nice, and made us feel most welcome. The walled garden is wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed hear for 3 nights and were greeted with a cream tea in a walled garden that was quintessential England in the sun. A wonderful, comfortable and historic place to take a break away from it all
