We were walking the Coleridge Way and stayed in the Coleridge Suite for one night at both the beginning and end of our walk. The room was once used by Coleridge and is a large and attractive room with interesting fittings and furnishings which continue the Coleridge theme. Manor is a friendly and hospitable host and the breakfast provided was... More

Thank you so much for your kind comments and we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. The Coleridge Way is a wonderful walk and you saw it at its best with the nice weather. I hope you will return to us in the near future as there are other shorter walks that I am sure will delight... More

For our second stay at The Old House, my partner and I chose to stay in Sara's Room, a lovely pink and white, comfortably furnished room at the front of the house. As on our previous stay, Manor greeted us on arrival, and provided us with coffee and biscuits. We enjoyed a large and tasty breakfast on both mornings, including... More

I recently spent a night in this lovely house, which oozes history and character. I arrived earlier than expected and was met at my car by Manor who instantly made me feel welcome. He carried my bag and showed me the way to "Sarah's Room" The room was clean, spacious, well presented, warm and welcoming. The exquisite flower arrangement, pretty... More

I recently spent 2 very relaxing nights in the Housekeeper's Quarters, one alone and one with my partner. The Housekeeper's Quarters is a wonderful large self-contained self-catering apartment which occupies the top floor of the entire house. It is spacious and comfortable, with a very cosy living room nestled under the eaves. Manor and Ann were very welcoming, accommodating my... More

Just had a very relaxing week staying in Stable Cottage - a really cosy home from home. Manor and Ann are the friendly and helpful owners. We were made very welcome and enjoyed a brilliant week walking in the Quantocks and on Exmoor. Manor and Ann had kindly supplied us with a welcoming pot of tea and fruit cake and... More

A couple of buddies and I were on a cycling trip down to the Quantocks and ended up spending two nights at The Old House. We arrived after a long day in the saddle, and Manor (who runs the B&B with his wife) instantly offered us a cold beer, locked our bikes away in the stable and directed us to... More

This is a great B&B. Our room was very good and spacious, comfy bed, great shower, brilliant breakfast (be sure to have the fruit salad) and very friendly and chatty proprietors. And the garden of the Old House is magnificent. We stayed three nights and could have stayed several more. Highly recommended!

This was our third visit to 'The Old House', having previously stayed in 'Stable Cottage' and 'The Garden Wing', both of which were equally delightful. This year we (two adults and a four year old) stayed in the extremely comfortable and spacious 'Housekeeper's Quarters' and we were amazed at the space and views from the top floor of this wonderful... We stayed for three nights in the House Keepers Quarters, which is self catering. Immediately we were made to feel incredibly welcome by Manor, who met us as we drove in. After showing us around our apartment, we unpacked, and were blown away by how much space we had (there only being two of us). After a quick break, we... More
