We found this the right balance between the price paid for this stay (hotel, restaurant and breakfast) and really enjoyed our stay here. It is not a small, cosy and quite hotel but the hotel is run providing the right balance: nice, clean and spacy rooms; Couple of menu which contain straight-forward food (good, not perfect, well-balanced according to the... As usual, this was a random choice from hotels in roughly the right place, and it was a great find. Convenient for Bouzy for a wide choice of small Champagne producers and cooperatives. The rooms were clustered motel style round a courtyard, with the old building of the public rooms at the front along one side of the courtyard. They... More

We have stayed here before on our trip through France. This time we decided to go for the truffle menu - a bit of a treat but well worth it. Luckily we were served before a large party (34) arrived, but noise in the restaurant was not a problem. Very friendly staff. We had a de-luxe room which basically means... More

As our first visit in June was so lovely, we booked for another stopover en route to Calais. However, although our room & the food were great our experience this time was not, due an extremely noisy group of guests. The large party of 30 plus was seated on two long tables at one end of the restaurant & two... More

After a three hour drive down the peage we hit the road to Epernay and then on to this lovely Auberge. A quiet location, despite being on a Route National, good parking facilities and a warm welcome. Good sized bedrooms, set around a secure courtyard. A couple of drinks at the bar and then we were ready for dinner, being... More

We stayed here on our second stopover from Spain on our way home to England. This is a really lovely, convenient and value for money hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean and ours were situated around a lovely courtyard. We ate in the restaurant which was lovely (definitely not a 'shorts and... More

We booked two rooms in this hotel for an overnight stop on the way to the Alps. The rooms were very clean and spacious. We had a great night's sleep without any noise. We booked half board and were served a set menu which was excellent. we would definitely recommend.

We have now stayed here for an overnight stop on three occasions - an ideal quiet location, under 3 hours driving time from Calais and only a short distance from the autoroute. The very comfortable rooms are mainly set around a pleasant garden quadrangle. Friendly and helpful reception. Characterful main building and restaurant.

We booked for 3 nights and found the hotel easy to find in the small town of Matougues. All the staff very friendly and helpful, with most bilingual. Rooms were larger than you would expect with large comfortable bedding and well serviced and clean room (204). Our room came with aircon and fast free wifi and an electric exterior blind... More

Found this fabulous hotel on doing a search for accommodation during our European touring holiday. WOW This was a a delight. We had a fantastic room which was very comfortable, big luxurious bed and a complete surprise, a separate loft room for the teenage daughters to share. With an equally luxurious bathroom and huge shower we were enchanted. Only a... More
