We hadn't booked ahead and found this hotel by chance but I'm very glad we did, it was a great place to stay. We stayed in a suite, the only accommodation left, so maybe we were lucky as it was set to one side of the hotel and was very quiet. It was certainly comfortable; a huge bed, magnificent bathroom,... 15 members of the South Leicester MG club stayed here for 5 nights for our annual, trip to France. The 8 rooms that we booked were all very similar, plenty of room for us, some rooms having both double and a single bed. Rooms were clean and serviced to a good standard each day. The rooms would of benefitted from... More

Very much in the "Champagne country" and a bit off the beaten track, but as previous commentators have said, well placed for autoroutes to the channel ports or other areas of France. A large car park, but most of the bedrooms are grouped around a central courtyard and you go into the main building for your meals and evening entertainment... More

Handy overnight location (if a bit out in the back of beyond) close to autoroutes if travelling south or east from channel ports. Good points :Secure parking; otherwise there is nothing else to see or do in immediate location. Courtyard busy with large local group when we were there. Somewhat overpriced in comparison with other hotels used on our journey.

As previously mentioned this hotel is off the beaten track but at 3 hours from the Calais terminals places you ideally to carry on your trip or head for home. The hotel is a Logis and is very clean. The food was excellent with a list of a la carte menus. The price was also reasonable , we had dinner... More

Very nice hotel, strange wild west saloon doors into the bathroom but otherwise great, courtyard and hotel very nice. Dinner in the evening and breakfast both really good, staff very nice and helpful. A great stop-over on the way home.

Reasonable sized rooms, large bed. Shower only, no bath. Free WiFi. Quiet location, small swimming pool, no air con in rooms. Rooms arranged around an internal courtyard - can be disturbing if you want an early night and a group decides to have a drink/chat in the courtyard. Restaurant serves good food but portions not large - ok if having... More

Located just off the main route to/from Calais near Reims & Epernay, the family has run the auberge for many generations & have extended over the years. The latest single storey annexe rooms are suitable for disabled guests overlooking a patio garden area, with very modern decor although ours had a less than private, swing door into the shower area... I wish I could share others' enthusiasm, but I was disappointed by the night we spent here. I hadn't high expectations of the accommodation and I wasn't wrong: essentially a motel room. A bit dull, certainly a bit basic. A lot of noise, from other guests talking outside (which seems unavoidable) to passing trains. I did, however, have high expectations... More

Well situated with an excellent restaurant but with a very limited vegetarian menu? Helpful staff, clean and comfortable. easy access when travelling through France or visiting the champagne region. Nice dog.
