We stayed for four nights at half term. What a fabulous find! We had an enormous suite with two bedrooms in classic French style The bathrooms were modernised (no iffy old French bathrooms here!). The charming owner Norbert could not have been more welcoming, speaking perfect English. The girls rode on a donkey and horse for the first time and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights and wish we had spent longer. It's a family owned and run chateau with Norbert and his brother being the main hosts. We received a warm welcome and soon felt like treasured guests in their home. Our room was huge, clean and very comfortable. Dinner can sometimes be provided as long as Norbert knows... More

This is the second time we have stayed at Chateau de Behen, and it wont be our last even though we live in Australia. Norbert and his brother are great hosts, and passionate about their property and ensuring you have a great stay. It is impossible not to relax at this property, Norbert will feed you fine food, (but make... More

Not easy to review this place as its obviously not a hotel in the true sense , its more a family home that rents out its rooms. The host is very amiable and the Chateau has a lived in feel about it . The room was clean and spacious and the included continental breakfast adequate. At just over £100 per... More

Had a superb night last night on our stopover before heading home. Beautiful bedroom (we had Citrine) felt truly spoilt. After an aperitif we enjoyed a delicious 4 course meal with a fine bottle of red wine by candlelight in a charming dining room. Will most definitely stay again and what put the finishing touch on our stay for me... More

Situated in the country just south of Abbeville this is a true Chateau. A spacious comfortable room renovated to a very high standard. We chose to have dinner and that was well presented in a candle lit setting. Cooking was to a high standard. Breakfast was a good typical French continental spread. Perhaps one short coming was a lack of... More

Behen is a small, quiet village/hamlet with this fabulous chateau in the centre. We stayed in Citrine, which is comfortable, spacious and nicely decorated in period style. Symmetrical panelled cupboards reveal, on one side, a good-sized bathroom. Between the house and the car park live a herd of mini horses and two gorgeous, tiny goats, one of whom was very... More

We stayed here for one night en route to the south west of France. We were greeted by Norbert on arrival who was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was the "Emeraude" which is up on the second floor and had the advantage of windows at the front and rear of the property which meant that we benefited from a... More

First class break. Everything was brilliant. Norbert and his family are excellent hosts. Really nice people. Ideal for toddlers, it's set on a farm with lots of animals. Ideal for couples. Very romantic location. Top tip: eat in. Great food.

We booked the chateau as a stop-over on the way down to central France. It's 5 mins off the autoroute and it was a wonderful peaceful start to our holiday. Norbert the host gave us a suite of charming rooms, even though we'd only booked a standard room. It overlooked the front of the chateau and the duck pond. We... More
