Our family truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely Bed and Breakfast. Naomi is a delightful and helpful hostess. She provided us with excellent recommendations for chateaux to visit. Her continental breakfast was very tasty- don't miss her homemade yogurt. As an American family with just a bit of French, it was also nice to have guidance in English. The... More

We have spent 3 nights in La Bihourderie in August 2014. We have taken the suite, to accommodate 3 adults and 1 child. The place in itself is perfect, an old farm in the middle of the field, quite and peaceful. Yet, it is close to some of the castles on the valley (15-30 minutes by car) and very close... More

For basic information look at the website. From personal experience I can say that La Bihourderie is a perfect location to tour the area south of Amboise. Naomi is a perfect host with excellent knowledge of what to see and when. Her advise on which chateaux to visit, the sequence and other places of interest was invaluable. It certainly helped... If ever we are in the area we stay here. The rooms are excellent - tip top cleanliness and comfort, all modern with beautiful features. Breakfast is excellent. There is a lounge area where you can make tea and coffee and warm up any food - all fully equipped. Hosts are lovely people and full of information. It's only a... More

We stayed at La Bihourderie for 3 nights, 11-13 July 2013. Our room was on the ground floor named Les Bles Jaunes which overlooked the countryside. It was very comfortable and clean, there was an exposed stone wall and beam which added character, the shower was a decent pressure. There was a kitchen/lounge area where tea/coffee is provided, you are... More

My husband and I stayed here as a base for 3 nights and explored the Loire and several chateaus. While not in a town (you can't walk to dinner elsewhere), we felt the location was good and most of what we wanted to visit was within about a 45 minute drive. We ate dinner in nearby Loches twice and enjoyed... More

We had the Iris Room for three nights which was spacious, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable large bed. In addition there was a shared kitchen/lounge area with tea/coffee/biscuits, plus facilities to make snacks or light meals. The garden area is very pleasant with lovely views over farmland. Naomi was very welcoming and made some excellent recommendations for... More

My husband and I stayed at La Bihouderie for five nights. We stayed on the second level in the room named Les Tournesols, a beautiful room with a modern bathroom. La Bihouderie also has rooms at ground level, but we wanted to see the countryside from a distance. In addition to the usual chateaux, we would recommend making a day... More

I travelled to France with my girlfriend to celebrate our joint birthdays and we picked this lovely B&B to stay in for 3 nights in the Loire. It's located only 10 minutes from the city of Loches, yet is in beautiful and quiet farmland. We stayed in the family suite, which was made up of 2 large bedrooms with a... More

My girlfriend and I booked the family room, which was actually a 2 bedroom suite with a door leading directly out to the serene yard in the back. Every night we were treated to a spectacular sunset settling across the vast and lush farmland. Spacious and comfortable, not even a rooster could be heard through the thick stone walls. Naomi...
