Ok if you are looking for a CHEAP place to stay and don't mind a room where some things never work then this is the place for you. The "hotel" rooms are where we stayed and the bungalows might be good so my review is of the facility and "hotel" type rooms. 1. The facility states they have a fitness... More

Stayed at the resort for 3 nights. I found the place quite massive and well spaced. My room was equally big but had this dump smell. I don't know what it was. I think the resort would do with some bit of work to renovate it. The staff can also benefit from a make over. They are a bit slow,... More

Am sure this resort must have been a resort when it started out, but it is high time, the management makes an effort in revamping this place. everything (especially the rooms) is worn, doesn't function properly or has fallen apart. this could be a jewel if well taken care off

The hotel overall was wonderful. Right by the beach, and the service was awesome. The pool area was ok since the bar by the pool wasn't open. The rooms were clean but lacking amenities like iron and ironing board. Overall a nice place to stay in Zanzibar. A little bit on high end in terms of food price but you... More

This hotel is very run down. Our room was particularly terrible. We couldn't lock the balcony doors. besides having no key for them, the door locks had been either replaced or broken at some point in time that they no longer aligned properly. The fridge didnt work. The power socket was black/brown. The lamp in the room had had the... More

Paradise Beach Resort Zanzibar is a lovely hotel and we enjoyed very much the 4 days . We went to Zanzibar looking for a good time and a little relax. The place give us everything we were hoping to find! The room was spacious and comfortable, the view was just perfect, our bed and the mosquito nets worked just fine... More

I recently stayed at this resort in February 2014. My room and bed was clean, tidy and comfortable. The views from my balcony were beautiful. The staff and waiters were friendly but the communication barrier was frustrating at times. The F.O.M. and G.M. were very helpful and pleasant to speak to. The food was delicious. Freshest and yummiest calamari I... More

Seriously, if you are coming all the way to Zanzibar you can save a few extra dollars and stay somewhere better. Or else you can stay at a hostel in Stone Town or a banda on the beach which would be better than this. So many bugs in the rooms, the pool water is greenish black, some of the fountains... More

We stayed in the resort over Dec 2013. It was a pleasant stay over all. We arrived very early and the staff didn't hesitate to check us in although check in time is much later. The rooms were clean and tidy. Some people cmplained about cold showers but we never had that problem. You got to let the water run... More

I visited this hotel few years back and all I remember is their swimming pool. I guess the swimming pool they have will be in the list of top 5 swimming pools in zanzibar island. as others mentioned, please wear long sleeves, jeans and dress shoes nevertheless hot temperature because the mosquitos will never be your friend during your stay....
