This property has a breathtaking setting in the middle of its own vineyards, with views to the very scenic Stift Gottweig. Minutes from Krems, it was reached quite easily after a day spent exploring the beautiful Wine Country, the Wachau. Guests are welcome to wander in the vineyard or walk along a babbling stream. They are welcome to help themselves... More

The Malat is a terrific family run hotel, beautifully designed and set in the midst of lovely vineyards. We stayed for 2 nights while on a bike trip in the Wachau Valley region. Rooms were wonderful, huge tub, comfortable bed, great contemporary design. Breakfast perfect for a full day of riding, wine from the Malat family winery great for after!

Our nav system led us to this wonderful little inn overlooking vineyards and Stifft Gottweig just across the Danube from Krems, by the shortest but most complicated route. We drove through the village of Furth Bei Gottweig, down a lane beside a creek and through a vineyard. On arrival we were warmly welcomed with helpful suggestions about things to do... More

I spent 2 nights in room 8 which has an unforgettable view over the Abbey. The room has a stunning design - all glass and natural materials, ultra modern bathroom fixtures, a split level configuration. There is a picturesque vineyards area around quite good for walking. The lovely town of Krems is just minutes away. There are only about 10... More

Great wines, family friendly service, ultramodern designer rooms, fantastic breakfast, and close to everything (if you ever decide to leave your room). Great holiday experience all round! Each night we asked the Malats to book our dinner reservation; we the at one great restaurants frequented by locals and well off the standard tourist trail.

My husband and I spent 4 nites at Malat visiting the area last month and all I can say is that it was a perfect place to stay. The hotel is in the vineyard and it's very, very modern with much of it glass so you can see the vines from everywhere. It even has a fully glass shower in... More

What a stunning little hotel- everything has been considered with such fine detail, from the room fittings and fixtures to the amazing outlook over the vines and the distant Monestry. The breakfast was excellent and the grounds are kept immaculate. Friendly family business with great wines and good location to go exploring nearby towns. Big thumbs up!

the hotel is located at Forth, several kilos away from Krems where the main strain station is. I would suggest you drive here, it's much easier to visit the surrounding area with car. the hotel owned by a family, near their private vineyard, just renovated within one year! So every thing is trendy and in exellent condition. I like their... More

The hotel and the rooms are very nice and stylish, but a bit pricy for this area We asked for the heating to be operated because it was a cold day. The promised it will be fixed, but nothing happened. The Wifi signal is not detected in a lot of places (including our room)

From the warm welcome to the stupendous breakfast this was a great property from start to finish. The hotel is new as I believe it opened in April 2012. The rooms are extremely modern and great attention has been paid to the design. I opted for a suite which was a great choice. I had plenty of room but foremost,... More
