We went for Sunday lunch and I was impressed by the friendly greeting we received from the manageress and more importantly that even though they were busy we were not rushed through our meal which lasted well over 2 hours. The food we received was on the whole excellent and the fork of pea & mint risotto I nicked from... more

As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a very warm welcome from both the receptionist and Caroline, the hotel manager. We were taken to our room which was a good size with a super-king bed and was at the front of the hotel; our first impression was of how clean and neat everything was. The bathroom was a... more

As parents of the groom at the wedding attended by Chris and Yvonne I can only echo their sentiments. We were a group of 15 family and friends and from our arrival to our departure Caroline Parkes the General Manager and her staff looked after our every need and made sure our weekend was very special. Our pre-wedding dinner on... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Cartwright, as we were in the area for my friends wedding. What can i say, but excellent from the moment we arrived to our departure. The rooms are excellent, spacious, very well kept and of a high standard. The owner, and staff could not have been more friendly and... more

A jewel in this delightful Oxford village. Caroline Parkes, the General Manager extended a genuine welcome when we arrived, in the middle of a very busy evening in the hotel and restaurant. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Dinner in a relaxed but friendly restaurant was tasty, well presented and a great way to start the weekend. Our 20 year... more

My wife and I stayed for just the one night as I was spending a morning at Silverstone race circuit driving a single seater racing car. (Great fun by the way!) We were met in the car park on arrival and the attention to detail was fabulous from there onwards. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. The food... more

Yesterday we went with friends for an evening meal at the Cartwright Hotel at Aynho, we enjoyed the most delicious meal, every course was first class. The menu is varied and affordable with the option to have a two course or three course meal from a seperate menu other than the a la carte. I had the lamb maincourse and... more

This pretty 16th century coaching inn has a lovely village setting, nice clean rooms with tv's and a nothings too much trouble eg one of our party ran out of cigarettes and one of the staff went and fetched some on her way into work... more

We visited this hotel for our friends daughters wedding and it was a fantastic stay. There was nothing that was too much trouble for Caroline Parkes the manager and Michelle the receptionist (both a credit to the company) Even on the night that the heating didn't work by the time we had gone to dinner (an amazing meal) and back... more
