Charming village pub with rooms. Handily placed for either exploring the hidden gem of the Lincolnshire Wolds or the more worldly joys of the east coast resorts. Welcoming staff and above average food. Excellent pies - try beef and Guinness - are a particular feature, but all the food is wholesome, home made and prepared using local ingredients. In winter... We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last few years, at lunchtime, evening, over Christmas, when busy and when quiet. Our meals have always been most enjoyable and we have chosen many different items including starters and puddings on occasions. The fact we have always enjoyed our meals means we will not hesitate to return. We've enjoyed... More

Looks like it has all been said. These folks deserve to be successful for the effort they put into ensuring a great visit for their guests. Very comfortable clean room, great food & beverages along with a friendly staff. Without a doubt we would return if in the area. Thanks Christine,

We were looking for somewhere to meet some friends and a quick Googling found this place just a few minutes off the main road between us. As one of our party is gluten intolerant we made a quick call to find out that there were at least 12 items on the menu she should be able to enjoy. On arrival... More

Me and the wife have stayed here before and will return again. The landlady and landlord are so helpful and friendly as are the staff. The food is the best I have experienced, I have a large appetite and was looking forward to one of their T bone steaks once again I wasn`t disappointed. Also tried the half duck which... More

Why, because I have to go on a diet after I have eaten here!!! Firstly I had the twin room with its brand new shower, explained to me by Chris. The room was once again spotless with Tea and Coffee making facilities, plenty of storage and a TV The Beds were wonderfully comfortable Now the food is one of the... More

After visiting this restaurant for many years I must say the main course was quite average. The young waitress needs to work very hard on her people skills. After giving us our menus we were asked if we were ready to order. We began to say which drinks we would like to be told "get them yourself from the bar,... More

Having driven for hours in appaling weather conditions it was fantastic to be welcomed by a friendly face before we even got out of the car! We were shown to our room, where the landlady showed us how everything worked before leaving us to settle in. First thing was a lovely mug (yes, mug - not a silly little cup... More

Well worth a visit have called twice recently and eaten both times, taking a friend as a treat on the last occasion. Food excellent, not expensive and freshly cooked so there can be a short delay, service cheerful and beer well kept. Premises are clean and there is plenty of room, 3 eating areas in all. Kitchen can be seen... More
