We were looking for somewhere for our visiting family to stay later in the summer this year, and although we have not yet stayed here I just had to share this one with you. We are local (obviously) but had no idea how lovely the accommodation at the Red Lion, Partney actually is. We have tried the food in the... More

Visited the Red Lion last night with my brother and sister-in-law. The overall ambience was comfortable, plenty of light, very clean and the owners were welcoming. The menu was a sensible size and covered all tastes. I chose the fillet steak (my favourite) and asked for it to be cooked "blue". The steak duly arrived cooked to perfection, and served... More

I visited The Red Lion Inn on mothers day with all the family, we were all impressed with the Sunday Lunch. The meat was all good quality, the beef was especially good. The veg is fresh and yorkshire puddings are enormous! The staff are all very welcoming and beer is well kept.

We travelled from Sussex to visit the nearby Lancaster museum, arriving late afternoon. We were shown to our huge room by the incredibly friendly landlord Nigel. Everything in our room was double checked by Nigel before he left us, making sure we were happy. The room was very comfortably, beautifully decorated and a pleasure to spend time in (not that... We were in the area and fancied a light snack so popped in - we received a very friendly greeting at the door and we asked if we could just have a snack, the delightful lady that greeted us showed us to a table and said we could order anything we wanted, we chose three starters, they took a little... My husband and I recently stayed at Red Lion Inn as we were visiting the Lancaster Bomber attraction Kirby airfield, which is nearby. The place itself is well kept and the outside was smothered in hanging baskets and all sorts of beautiful flowering plants . The location was in the heart of Parney village, a lovely peaceful place. We were... More

Charming village pub with rooms. Handily placed for either exploring the hidden gem of the Lincolnshire Wolds or the more worldly joys of the east coast resorts. Welcoming staff and above average food. Excellent pies - try beef and Guinness - are a particular feature, but all the food is wholesome, home made and prepared using local ingredients. In winter... We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the last few years, at lunchtime, evening, over Christmas, when busy and when quiet. Our meals have always been most enjoyable and we have chosen many different items including starters and puddings on occasions. The fact we have always enjoyed our meals means we will not hesitate to return. We've enjoyed... More

Looks like it has all been said. These folks deserve to be successful for the effort they put into ensuring a great visit for their guests. Very comfortable clean room, great food & beverages along with a friendly staff. Without a doubt we would return if in the area. Thanks Christine,
