I stayed at the Espiritu for two and a half weeks and found nothing but smiles, friendliness and brilliant service from all staff. These folk know how to make you feel very welcome but not intrude on you personally. I've been in various service industries on and off all my life, and believe me there's an art to being like... When we arrived late in the evening there was no one around and I had to ask around for help. A diner in the restaurant next door found the owner who, when we asked for a quiet room, gave us an interior one...without a window. So yes, it was quiet, clean and newly renovated. Although the owner said work on... More

It's been almost 2 years since I stayed at The Espiritu, so it's about time I wrote a review! The fact that I have not forgotten about this hotel just shows you what a great impression it made on me. I have stayed in numerous hotels all over the world, including 9 on Espiritu Santo, and I can honestly say... More

Was a quality hotel and was worth the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful when planning things to do around the island. Would stay here again and highly recommend the stay when travelling to Santo.

The hotel is going through renovations after being taken over. Swimming pool being installed plus changes to dining area. Breakfast was continental and quite adequate. Visited a cultural village where was shown the growing of kava and then turning into a drink. Cultural singing and weaving. There are other numerous tours for those into snorkelling and fishing.

A lovely hotel, complete with air-con, TV and a very clean room. My only complaint was that I was not informed of the ongoing building work that was taking place for the duration of my stay. That said, Simon (the manager) dealt with me immediately and we came to a resolution very quickly. Simon was also extremely knowledgable when quizzed... More

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Espiritu. I'm an academic and I was in Luganville/Santo historical research. For me, The Espiritu hit all the right notes. 1. They're teamed up and share a location with Aquamarine Diving (see separate review), who managed my SS Coolidge and Million Dollar Point dives perfectly, 2. They were instrumental in helping me... This hotel was a very welcome break from travelling around less advanced accommodation in the South Pacific. Spotlessly clean, modern and bright. Two amazing things that are often tricky to find in the South Pacific: air con and hot water showers. Perfect location right in town, with a really yummy Chinese restaurant downstairs (portions are huge, so consider sharing!). Breakfast... More

The hotel is very clean, very comfortable beds (nice new feathertop Sealey-posturepedic mattresses), quiet and good location right in town and close to ATMs and restaurants. Fantastic hot water showers after coming back form diving. Rainwater supplied, fridge for coldies, kettle to make your own tea and coffee. Staff very friendly and so obliging. Any little thing we needed or... More

Stayed 7 nights as part of an organised dive trip with my club, found all staff and management to be extremely friendly and polite and well organised. The room was modern and clean, aircon worked a treat, beds were comfy as. The quality of the dive guides (aquamarine) were exceptional in terms of experience and service. I felt very safe... More
