we wanted to book an extra evening in Cornwall to extend our week long stay and dine at Harbour lights restaurant. Our impression based on the prompt and courteous feedback to enquiry (bedroom for two plus a small dog)was initially good. However upon on arrival we couldn't have been more wrong. We were met by a rude man working on... More

This is a magnificent granite property set above Coverack, just a 10 minute walk from the village pub and restaurant. It is quiet and comfortable. The braakfast wih their own eggs and honey was one of the best I have had in many years of walking the coast path. Add the view to that and it was superb.

We stayed for 6 nights at the end of June, and wished it could have been longer. Francine and Dick were welcoming, accommodating and knowledgeable . Our bedroom gave a panoramic view of the harbour and surrounding area, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast times were variable to suit the guests, and were more than adequate with endless supply... More

We stayed with Dick and Francine for a week. From the first moment I realised that here we had found something completely different. And wonderful! Our hosts could not have been more friendly and welcoming, knowledgeable and well informed, helpful to the last mixing humour with homeliness. I felt at home from the moment I stepped through the front door.... More

We stayed for one night when on a walking trip. Disadvantage is that it is uphill, away from the harbour and village and it was cold. Would have been nice to have been offered a biscuit, or something to eat, and to be able to dry wet clothes! But breakfast was good.

We have stayed at penmarth house on two separate occasions and loved the relaxed atmosphere, the breakfasts were excellent with home made bread, their own eggs and honey. We stayed in a different room each time and they were comfortable with all we needed and wonderful sea views...as we were walking the coast, a pick up and drop off service... More

Tuesday morning and our wedding anniversary. We live in St. Keverne so caught the Coverack bus in the rain and seven minutes later we'd arrived. Time to see our accommodation, Penmarth House, and what a surprise that turned out to be. Set in two acres of green wilderness with bee hives, wild rabbits and seagulls, and set back off the... Stayed two nights with Francine and Dick who are perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble and very informative of the area. The breakfasts were excellent with free range eggs, homemade bread, tasty bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and sausage. All was piping hot and freshly cooked. We asked for packed lunches and we were provided with excellent sandwiches and salad at a... More

The plus points are that from the front you have great views, the front bedroom is average but large and the owners are pleasant people. The minus side is that it is untidy - the approach to the house had blue water pipes coiled up and left to the side, pieces of wood covering a trench in the drive, a... More

Francine and Dick were outstanding hosts and the view was fantastic. The house overlooks the harbour and has a nice, large garden/patio for relaxing. The house itself is quite nice and an easy walk from town. The breakfast was excellent--fresh and home-made. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay.
