We stayed 2 nights in a private room with ensuite facilties. We had a stunning sea view. The staff were extremely helpfull. Breakfast was tasty and we had dinner on saturday which was perfectly adequate. The reception sells local beer. The hostel is very nice. Camping is possible. The hostel is very close to the sea front of coverack.

I stayed here whilst walking the coast path this year and can't wait to go back. The staff were very welcoming and the hostel was spotless. I camped in the orchard with the owls and badgers yet had full use of all facilities inside the hostel. The following day Jo, the manager, kindly took my tent to the Lizard Hostel... More

We stayed at the YHA as it was offering good value for money, and we had our own private room/bathroom which would have slept up to 5 people, so definitely great if on a budget. The room was large as was the bathroom which was great, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Towels are not included in the room charge, but... More

The hostel is in a lovely location at the top of a very steep hill.As it was half term, there were alot of families. The self catering kitchen was very small, and therefore cooking was difficult, even avoiding peak times. An extra strain on the kitchen from the campers. As in many hostels the fire doors are very noisy, but our... More

This was my third hostel in as many days while walking the Lizard Peninsula and each hostel has been quite different. Jo and her partner Chris run this one and very well too! I had a 4 bed dorm to myself overlooking the bay which was wonderful. There were quite a few staying tonight (mostly families) and everyone is friendly... More

This was our first ever stay in a youth hostel and at nearly 40 with a young family I wasn't at all sure of my decision to book an Easter break……however it was fabulous. Spotlessly clean, welcoming, family friendly and stunning views. The hosts have a fabulous sense of humour and cook up a mean breakfast for great value (including... More

The whole youth hostel was booked for a weekend for a celebration with family and friends. It was like our own private, lovely lovely hotel. I have never ever stayed in a youth hostel before and I was amazed. Apart from the spectacular location surrounded by sea and a wonderful coastline the place was wonderful. The staff handed the place... More

YHA has changed a lot over the years. People remember school trips from 20 or 30 years ago and associate us with big dormitories and chores.....not today!! Now it is much more like staying in a relaxed hotel. Smaller rooms, ensuites, beds made up with crisp clean linen, meals & alcohol on sale but all with the same communal atmosphere... More

We stayed for a long weekend in December. This is an excellent hostel, better than many hotels or B&Bs. The situation is outstanding with wonderful views from the rooms facing the coast. Our room was well equipped, warm, clean and everything worked. The lounge and dining areas are comfortable. Service from Rob was as good as it gets. We are... More

We walked from the Lizard to Coverack and were very glad that we stayed here for the night. We had dinner here as there wasn't much open in town. We had breakfast too and both were really good and were good value for money. The bedroom was clean and comfortable and the other facilities were all good. Staff were really... More
