This family run hostel is a wonderful place to stay and in my case whilst walking the South West Coastal Path that fortunately runs right along through the delightful village of Coverack. This ex Edwardian family home is very well appointed with plenty of space indoors , a first class drying room and a pleasant lounge without the distractions of... More

Have been several times to this lovely YH. It is set in an apple orchard and on top of hill so has gorgeous views over the rugged Cornish sea and cliffs - divine. Lovely room with magnificent view and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly. Only drawback was lack of ovenware containers which are essential if you... More

Thanks for your review and suggestions Sue. We will get some oven dishes and cafettieres for the self caterers to use. Regarding the salt & pepper sachets and sauce sachets, these are available for those dining with us, self caterers just need to ask at reception. More

The hostel was very clean, great food and staff team. Located perfectly for travelling around Cornwall. We traveled easily, to all locations in the area within an hour, this is a jewel in the crown of YHA

We stayed 2 days in Coverack. As someone from continental Europe to drive to this place is an experience. But we enjoyed the stay. First of all the locations over the sea is very nice. If you go 100 m downhill you reach the harbor with some restaurants and cafes - not many 1-2 of each kind. We had a... More

We have just returned from our first every stay at The Coverack Youth Hostel. We have never camped before. We stayed in one of their Bell Tents. It was brilliant!! We stayed for three nights with four grandchildren aged from 5 to 11. From our first enquiry about the accommodation, the management could not have been more helpful, nothing was... More

A Bell tent is a great first camping expereince, all the fun and none of the hassle! All the children seem to sleep better in them too which is a fantastic side effect More

We stayed 2 nights in a private room with ensuite facilties. We had a stunning sea view. The staff were extremely helpfull. Breakfast was tasty and we had dinner on saturday which was perfectly adequate. The reception sells local beer. The hostel is very nice. Camping is possible. The hostel is very close to the sea front of coverack.

I stayed here whilst walking the coast path this year and can't wait to go back. The staff were very welcoming and the hostel was spotless. I camped in the orchard with the owls and badgers yet had full use of all facilities inside the hostel. The following day Jo, the manager, kindly took my tent to the Lizard Hostel... More

We dont usually do baggage transfer (there are local companies that do that) but that was a very wet tent and its a long walk to Lizard. Our volunteers at YHA Lizard had the tent hanging up in the drying room before you could say soggy! More

We stayed at the YHA as it was offering good value for money, and we had our own private room/bathroom which would have slept up to 5 people, so definitely great if on a budget. The room was large as was the bathroom which was great, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Towels are not included in the room charge, but... More

The hostel is in a lovely location at the top of a very steep hill.As it was half term, there were alot of families. The self catering kitchen was very small, and therefore cooking was difficult, even avoiding peak times. An extra strain on the kitchen from the campers. As in many hostels the fire doors are very noisy, but our... More

Unless you are paying me a HUGE compliment (I am certainly not young anymore), I think you stayed when we had a member of staff from another site help us out for a couple of days so that we could get some much needed days off. She had worked at Coverack before but not for 3 years and was all... More

This was my third hostel in as many days while walking the Lizard Peninsula and each hostel has been quite different. Jo and her partner Chris run this one and very well too!
