I spent only one night at the Hotel Colbert, in December 2014. I was there for a business meeting at the nearby Ecole Centrale. The hotel is very well located, five-ten minutes walking from the RER station of Sceaux, which is about half an hour from the Gare du Nord. The room was big (by London standards!), with a comfortable... More

Despite being very well located in the center of the residential city of Sceaux, this hotel (bearing 3 stars) is just missing comfort, e.g; no room to put your luggage, very little items to take a proper bath, Positive point we got for free a place in the public parking. Receptionist OK as well as the breakfast.,

After reading some reviews on french blogs, I was a little afraid of what I would find. It turned out to be above expectation. Location is fantastic, close to the park. Sound insulation is lousy, but after 10 PM there is hardly any noise outside till 6 PM, so a good night's rest is no problem. Rooms are clean but... More

This hotel is ideal for a quiet rest after a busy day in Paris. Only 5 minutes from the railway station in the peaceful and attractive suburb of Sceaux, with its beautiful gardens. Simple room and basic French breakfast but clean and comfortable with pleasant staff.

This hotel was the first hotel my husband and I stayed as we began our walk from Paris to Santiago de Compostela in Spain (le chemin de Saint Jacques). The man at reception was just so nice and pleasant, and he spoke some English, which really helped with my attempts at French. The room was a good size, the bathroom clean... More

The hotel is located far from the city center. I used it because near where I have to work, but it is near to the train to Paris center (16 minutes and 5 euros run and back). Sceaux is a cool place near to the Sceaux park and during the night you can stay outside in a bar to drink... More

My wife and I stayed the night in Hotel Colbert. It is a nice, clean, friendly hotel in Sceaux (pronounced "so") - conveniently loacted on the RER line about 20 minutes from Gare du Nord.. We went to the Theatre "Les Gemaux" in the evening for a jazz concert. The town of Sceaux is delightful - a kind of mini-Versailles... More

The Good: This hotel is located within walking distance of the Sceaux Chateau and Park -- an absolute gem of a destination and well worth the trip from Paris. I would go here over Versailles any day. The hotel is also situated directly next door to a lovely high-end, charming shopping area that contains a grocery store and many food... More
