The lodge comprises beautiful old buildings in good condition. The welcoming sherry was a nice touch. I particularly liked the walk up the granite dome behind the lodge, which provides a lovely view of Springbok. The owner and manager were pleasant and helpful.

We stopped in Springbok to take a rest from the long roads - and the Old Mill Lodge proved to be a perfect place for doing this. The room was spacious and very quiet, the garden was beautiful, and the little walk up the hill right behind the house offered a nice view over town. The breakfast room is also... More

This guesthouse is set in an olde worlde fairytale garden where nooks, crannies and surprises abound. There is a pool to splash in should the heat of summer get to you. Behind the buildings is a huge rounded rock, well worth climbing for all round views of the town of Springbok. LOCATION: In town and within walking distance to shops,... More

This was our first stay at this hotel. The room we got was quite large. It had a heater which was needed due to cold weather. The room was clean and had a refrigerator, separate sink area and coffee and tea. A safe and quiet location. Breakfast was good. This is a nice, quiet and clean place worth spending the... More

we'd made a booking here from the UK for one night before crossing the border into southern Namibia. We'd driven up from Cape Town on what was one very long hot road. On arrival, Steven helped us with the electric hook-up for our 4x4 Trax camper thing. Our room was large and cozy with a fine hot shower and the... More

What a nice place in the heart of Namakwaland... The place was very nice and cosy and we experienced tipical Namakwaland hospitality... After a long and hot road from Namibia this was the real oasis...

I have frequently traveled through the Northern Cape but tend to avoid Springbok. In my mind there were little redeeming features to the small town. Having traveled from Windhoek on Boxing Day, we were in need of accommodation and settled on Springbok as the likelihood of finding a place to eat was more likely than in any of the surrounding...
