Our family of four stayed in one of the self catering cottages on-route to Namibia. The dinner was more than 5star quality and one of the best experiences of our holiday. Stay here of you want to treat yourself to a special experience.

We were fortunate enough to spend a night in one of the mountain suites. What an absolute treat and "must do" to anyone in the area. From the spectacular suite complete with personal touches like flowers in the bathtub, to the superb menu and food on offer at the guest house. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. We... More

This is an amazing place to stay! We stayed in one of the Mountain Suites, these suites are thatched three room structures built around boulders. There was a large sitting room with mini bar, an enormous bedroom that opened out to a deck with a separate bathroom. The mountain suites are about 1km from the main house and overlook stunning... My parents and I recently travelled to Springbok to find my grandmother's grave. My father lost his Mum when he was 8. We found her tombstone which is perfectly preserved and it was really a joy. The other surprise was the exceptional stay at Narries. The separate cottages are well worth it. They are much nicer and have a unique... More

We stopped over here on our way to Namibia and thought this the most amazing place to stay. Our Mountain suite was spacious and comfortable, these unusual thatched huts are beautifully designed absolutely stunning and the setting is almost unreal. Incredible views and very private. Beautiful touches including flower petals in the bath. The staff was very welcoming, a hearty... More

After receiving a very warm welcome we were guided to our retreat suite, although I had seen the suites on the website, I was shocked at the size of our accommodation, huge ! We had our own parking spot and private secluded access to the suite, inside was a lovely lounge area that lead into the bedroom. We always stay... More

We were staying in the Namakwa retreat suites on our way from Namibia to Capetown. What an experience! Very nice decoration, lots of space, lovely bathroom with romantic touch, superb view. The restaurant was also very nice with excellent food and very helpfull staff. Absolutely lovely place to stay and relax at the pool.

We arrived very late after car problems which wasn't a problem for the owners / managers and we were welcomed nicely. We were given directions to our house. The house was very nice, but we expected this considering the amount of money we paid for it. My only problem was that for the money there was no air conditioning (probably... More

This place is a little gem, we stayed there for a whole day...eat outside on the terrace, we had candles and a heating system for the evenings. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. Dinner is also very nice, we could sit and read a book at the fireplace in the house. The room (1 of the 4) as well as the... More

Don't really know where to start - in summary, this place is one of the most unusual and beautiful places I have ever stayed at. Yes it's a long drive from Cape Town but well worth it - you arrive at this traditional rustic, yet quite grand farmhouse down a short drive off the main road from Springbok to Spek... More
