We stayed here overnight on 21st June. It was a Birthday gift from colleagues. Firstly it is easy to criticise and look for the negatives in any venue, and people who do that must lead very sad lives... There are some minor issues with the B&B, but it is important to remember this is a family business and the people... More

We booked a room for two nights but due to ill health had to cancel. Despite giving 10 days advance notice, we were still charged £160 pounds. The charge was made the day we informed the owners, so was made irrespective of whether they were able to let the room to someone else. Be wary of providing your debit or... More

Having stayed during our honeymoon 10 years ago, we went back for our tenth wedding anniversary and were greeted like old friends. It was lovely to go back to a place that held so many happy memories. The accommodation is lovely, the bed comfy and the food delicious. Located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, this is the perfect... More

We had a very good stay. The host was very nice and helpful. The room was small but comfortable. The breakfast was something really extra! I did not have to eat for the rest of the day! The Barn has a very nice and well kept garden. We can definitively recommend it to anyone! Per and Kicki from Sweden

We where offered the small room for one night. Their normal min is two nights. Have to say I would not spend a second night there. There is the equivalent of a porthole to get into the bath shower, which you have to sit in to be dribbled on. Everything seemed like an intrusion and as if you should be... More

I am very disappointed with the views of this guest who booked this room because all our other rooms were already booked. He was looking for accommodation for one night as he and his partner were attending a local wedding and he did not wish to pay the prices that some other guests were paying in closer to the venue.... We stayed for two evenings on 23rd and 24th May as part of our Hay Festival weekend. As a couple we normally opt for hotels but after this experience we would definitely explore B&Bs again. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were given an option of room. We went for the smaller room with en suite which was... More

Excellent place to stay for Hay Festival. Spacious ground floor room with views of the garden. Helpful and friendly hosts. Generous breakfast with lots of choices. Happy to provide gluten free options including gluten free bread. Plenty of parking.

Nice (clean) room, brand new bathroom (private, but across the hallway - robes are available), good breakfast, and very kind and helpful hosts. Talgarth is a great starting point for several beautiful mountainbike trips! Bikes can be hired at several spots in the area (book in advance!) and the rental companies can deliver the bikes at the B&B.
