I’ve stayed at the Tower Hotel in Talgarth many times over the last 25 or so years but not recently so I was really interested to see how it was doing. Well it is in really good hands and I couldn’t say that it has ever been better than it is now. From the friendly welcome, good choice of local... More

OK, so we were lucky enough to have perfect weather, but to top it all we were incredibly well looked after. Rooms were lovely, clean and well equipped, as well as great value for money. Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming (as were the locals) and for cyclists the secure lock-up and jet wash was real bonus. The area is... More

30+ cyclists and support staff stayed at the Tower, utilising a bunk house over the road for the over spill. Jan and Pip could not have been more helpful. Fantastic buffet dinner and breakfast for lots of very hungry people. Thanks for the donation Jan - we're up to £13,500 so far !!!!

The Tower Hotel is a very friendly and welcoming place. Our bedroom room was huge, bed comfortable, the linens (and towels) were soft, brilliant white, crisp and clean. The breakfast well cooked, of epic proportions and truly delicious. The decoration and fabric of Victorian building is a bit dated and careworn with age but the place is all the more... More

Our travel to Talgarth was to ride the classic Grwyne Fawr Reservoir route; the only black graded MTB route in the Brecon Beacons. We planned to make the 4 hour journey from (just outside) Portsmouth for a 3 day stay and needed somewhere cheap with a convenient location for the ride plus a day's hiking for day 2. After a... Travelled down to Talgarth for our granddaughters christening. Booked Tower hotel as nearby. Arrived later as poor traffic, but warm welcome from our hosts soon helped 😀 As weekend went on our hosts couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. Pip and Jan were excellent hosts and would recommend the Tower to anyone wishing to stay in or around... More

We stayed in the Tower Hotel for one night during our honeymoon, in order to enjoy the Talgarth festival in August. It was a lovely hotel, with a comfortable bed, super view and pleasant surroundings. The owners were very welcoming, and although we didn't eat in the evening due to the festival, the breakfast was delicious. We had a super... More
