Casa Picaflores is such a beautiful property. It is easily accessible from the main highway, and also very close to the southern El Yunque trailhead. It is about an hour or less to the northern el Yunque trails, close to Luqillo beach, and close to the ferry in Fajardo. Barbara is such a welcoming and sweet host. Her property is... More

Casa Picaflores is gorgeous, comfortable, and unique. We brought our toddler and we all felt so welcome! Barbara has created a wonderful retreat- we could have stayed within the property for our whole vacation. She made us feel at home, even stocking the fridge before we arrived with some breakfast foods. We ate bananas picked right off of the tree,... More

Barbara, the owner, is a kind' generous, caring person who has created an oasis in the middle of the El Yunque rain forest. She stocked our refrigerator for the morning, and upon learning our food preferences, immediately went to the supermarket to supplement . Because the next day was Easter, and stores would be closed, she bought us lunch provisions,... More

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. It was as if I'd entered a secluded paradise. I hadn't seen anything that beautiful, ever. The pool was amazing. It was so nice to see it incorporated into the naturlal surroundings so well. The staff around were so friendly and positive. It really reset my mind and that was exactly what I needed.... More

Stayed 3 nights with a baby. The location is off the beaten path yet also close to Fajardo and San Juan. It was easy to get around and as stated before, Barbara does a splendid job of providing a fridge full of snacks and nice amenities. This place is truly unique with what ended up being our own private mountain... More

A very out of the way location to unplug from civilization. The private pool is actually part of a running mountain stream with all the amenities needed for an Eden like picnic. The casita Zumbador is a cute little cottage with a nighttime orchestra of frogs and critters outside. Barbara is a wonderful host who is happy to make her... More

I spent hours researching places to stay in PR and could not get excited about any of them. When I finally found Casa Picaflores and they had openings I was literally giddy. Then I got concerned that how I imagined it to be would not be the reality and I would be disappointed. When we got there, I realized it... More

This place is amazing. There's a stunning natural swimming pool that's made of rock and has mountain water flowing into it. There are trees with bananas, star fruit, passion fruit, etc. that you can help yourself to. There's a tilapia pool...the fish are beautiful and you are more than welcome to feed the fish. Our toddler had a blast on... More

This is a beautiful, well furnished, set of beautiful lodges set in El Yunque. We stayed in La Cabana which is open air, facing the large pond, was clean, extremely well furnished like you would find in high end resorts & very cute. The bathroom was nice with open air monsoon shower. The bed was comfortable & had a mosquito... More

I'm from Puerto Rico, and I didn't know this place existed in my island. Always thought I will have to go to Europe to find a place like that. You can even snack in the nature of this place with all the fruit trees there are in there.
