We had a relaxing retreat in this tropical paradise . We picked our own oranges , bananas , star fruit and passion fruit from our yard and we fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle each night . The natural river pool behind the house is a unique oasis with plenty of shady spots to lounge in nature.... More

We stayed in the Casita Zumbador (Hummingbird). A beautiful, quant, peaceful little cottage. We slept with the windows open to hear the screech owls and the Coqui frogs all night. Such a relaxing experience. Barbara, who owns the amazing paradise really took care of us and offered much knowledge about the area. Eating fresh fruit off the land and swimming... More

Never having been to Puerto Rico before I wanted to spend a few days near the Rainforest. I was looking for something near El Yunque that was clean and within our budget but I got a lot more than I bargained for. It was clean and it was a great location but the grounds were unbelievably beautiful and our Casita... More

Picaflores is a beautiful Botanical Garden and Bird Sanctuary. Eye Candy is everywhere, from the lush Tropical landscape, to the environmentally integrated room interiors. "The Villa" is more spacious (3 bedrooms & 2 baths), than any Resort Accommodations we've experienced. It's a secluded House in paradise! Sit on the covered porch, during a brief downpour, or walk to the Natural... More

Barbara was an incredibly friendly and helpful hostess. The property is amazing! Full of bright flowers, fruit and tall shady trees. You can tell she has spent years with the layout. The lower house we stayed at didn't have AC but we used a ceiling fan which was good enough. Yes they're were some bugs- you're staying in a tropical... More

Casa Picaflores is such a beautiful property. It is easily accessible from the main highway, and also very close to the southern El Yunque trailhead. It is about an hour or less to the northern el Yunque trails, close to Luqillo beach, and close to the ferry in Fajardo. Barbara is such a welcoming and sweet host. Her property is... More

Casa Picaflores is gorgeous, comfortable, and unique. We brought our toddler and we all felt so welcome! Barbara has created a wonderful retreat- we could have stayed within the property for our whole vacation. She made us feel at home, even stocking the fridge before we arrived with some breakfast foods. We ate bananas picked right off of the tree,... More

Barbara, the owner, is a kind' generous, caring person who has created an oasis in the middle of the El Yunque rain forest. She stocked our refrigerator for the morning, and upon learning our food preferences, immediately went to the supermarket to supplement . Because the next day was Easter, and stores would be closed, she bought us lunch provisions,... More

I had an absolutely wonderful stay. It was as if I'd entered a secluded paradise. I hadn't seen anything that beautiful, ever. The pool was amazing. It was so nice to see it incorporated into the naturlal surroundings so well. The staff around were so friendly and positive. It really reset my mind and that was exactly what I needed.... More

Stayed 3 nights with a baby. The location is off the beaten path yet also close to Fajardo and San Juan. It was easy to get around and as stated before, Barbara does a splendid job of providing a fridge full of snacks and nice amenities. This place is truly unique with what ended up being our own private mountain... More
