We got in late at night, so I couldn't full understand where I was until morning. I woke up early, and take a solo walk around the property. The man tending to the property handed me fruit fresh from the trees as he greeted me with the most genuine of smiles. I was overwhelmed with the most amazing feeling of... More

We had stayed here several years back. Love the location, definitely off the beaten path. The cottage was beautiful. Loved hearing the rain and coqui at night. The pool is heaven and the breakfast amazing! Loved it SO much we are going back this year with our son.

Casa Picaflores is an idyllic vacation spot in the heart of the El Yunque rainforest. Our family group of nine had a wonderful stay. The villa, which is roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated, was perfect for six of us, and three stayed in a Bohio. We relaxed and enjoyed all our meals together on the outside deck. We swam in... More

This is the first review that I have written. I was so taken with our experience that I felt compelled to write this review. I was initially not certain about staying in a rain-forest, but I can now say this was one of the best and most memorable trips I have taken in a very long time. The property is... More

We recently spent one night at Casa Picaflores over a short visit to Puerto Rico, and I hope to return sometime soon and stay for longer! We stayed in La Casita, an amazing space with a clean bathroom, beautiful room with great light and views (starfruit and limes outside our window!), and a fridge stocked with fresh fruit and snacks.... My wife and I found Casa Picaflores on the Trip Advisor website while driving in Puerto Rico after 3 days in Old San Juan. We planned to spend one or two nights in the mountains and thought it would be as good a place as any. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip and we ended up... More

Barbara is a fascinating, inspirational, and gracious hostess. While my family and I were not able to stay here since we came by just to see a friend who was staying here, we are resolved to come back to Puerto Rico to experience the tranquility and beauty of an extended stay at Picaflores!

We stayed here 2 nights as part of Honeymoon in P.R. and we were blown away by this place! The hospitality and place exceeded our expectations. Extremely clean and well kept. Stocked our fridge with breakfast, juices, drinks and fruit. Even had a little gift on the bed with some amazing products. Everything was just lovely we didn't want to... More

Lovely grounds and fabulous hospitality. Barbara is a great host. La Cabana was adorable and very comfortable. Coqui were a litte loud but maybe that was the season. We were recommended a local guide for hike in the Rain Forest and it was incredible. Robin Phillips - took us where we definitely would not have been able to go on... More

We had a relaxing retreat in this tropical paradise . We picked our own oranges , bananas , star fruit and passion fruit from our yard and we fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle each night . The natural river pool behind the house is a unique oasis with plenty of shady spots to lounge in nature.... More
