Amazing view, and nice pool areas. Besides that everything else was pretty average. Restaurant's service was not fast and food wasn't very good. On top of it all it wouldnt hurt to get more signs on the road, getting there was interesting.

This place, I'll admit, it's beautiful, the view is just magnificent, but the hotel by itself just SUCKS. Cockroaches in the suite, the free Wifi is a myth, the walking stroll vanished, the tennis and basketball courts were falling apart and the restaurant food was so flooded with oil and grease that I got sick. Horrible Hotel, just AWFUL!.

I liked the place and decided to stay an extra night. I was told the price was 300 pesos extra or I could make my reservation online. I made my reservation and gave them my reservation # from crs.univisiy.com. The website found under coladecaballo.com. They said they had my reservation but I still needed to pay. I gave them my... Other than a great view this old, understaffed hotel is a nightmare. The neglected and very sick nimph in the lobby is denied attention and is shaking all day. The manager refuses to call the vet. The caged birds by the pool are living in a jail, no wind, no sunlight gets through. There is a sign outside their enclosement... More

Great place, very good value, clean and nice facilities. Staff were extremely helpful and the tour guides they are affiliated with were also great.

I love this hotel. The views of the valley and stars are like a dream. Waking up every morning before sunrise during our first stay there (October) and watching the sun rise over the Sierra Madre Oriental range was breathtaking. The peacocks and geese roaming the grounds can be peevish, but as we found out this time--the big intimidating gray... More

The Hacienda Cola de Caballo is a small comfortable hotel located on the plaza in Santiago. It is very clean with large rooms. Temperature control in my room could have been better, but overall ok. The view of the mountains from the couryard is spectacular. Across the plaza from the hotel are two very nice restaurants. I would highly recommend... More

The setting for this Hotel is beautiful BUT there were some problems. The room was very attractive with a large whirlpool tum but there was no hot water most of the time. The water was tepid! We were there a week and part of the time we were the only guests or few guests. When more guest arrived, they turned... More

After reading the reviews and visiting the web site for Hacienda Cola De Caballo, we were anxious to have a special place to stay outside of the city of Monterrey. Although it was quite expensive (approx $300 USD per night for a suite), it looked lovely and fabulous views. When we checked in, the front desk had no record of... More

We attended a dental seminar in Monterrey and decided to arrive several days early to see the area surrounding the city. We had a relaxing stay at this hotel. We arrived on Sunday morning and the hotel was fairly busy with motor trail bike riders and families on holiday. There are some excellent places to ride off road in the... More
