Stayed one night in a spacious executive room on ground floor. All the essentials you would expect from a suburban motel. Good quality, clean and quiet room. But definitely overpriced, like many places in Canberra. Location is isolated if you are without a car. It cost me $15 from Canberra City by taxi at night. A bit of a Fawlty... more

Stayed for one night. Positives: - Modern (recently built or refurbished); - Reasnoably close to town by car; - Clean; Negatives: - Small (especially bathroom which could have easily been made a foot wider), - Breaky (included) was very average. more

Tall Trees is a traditional type motel spread out over 2 floors in a quieter residential neighbourhood of Canberra. It is not too far from shopping and restaurant areas by car, but is probably not a good choice if you are relying on busses or cabs... there are other places much closer. The motel has been extensively renovated since my... more

I recently stayed at Tall Trees for a business trip. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the experience. The room was modern and spacious and had everything you could possibly want or expect from a Motel of this type. The only downside of staying here is that you need to drive or cab it to civilisation for dinner.... more

We stayed at the BW Tall Trees for one night recently. We had an executive 4 star room in the main building (not in the newer looking extension). It was a comfortable, clean room but very dated and old and not quite what we were expecting for a place rated as 4 star. I agree with another reviewer who said... more

the bathrooms are terribly small. the location is good.........BUT it's in a residential area, and for 4 of the 5 nights i stayed there, somebodys dog barked all night. not the motels fault...but it was clearly heard with doors and windows shut. might stay again........if there is no dogs.. more

The motel is in a lovely tree lined street off the main drag which meant it was very quiet. There were quite a few guests staying at the motel but we did not here any noise which was great. We booked the business B & B package. The room had been nicely refurbished, it had a queen and one single,... more

We had a pleasant stay at this motel. Service was good and the breakfast was terrific. Our standard motel room was smaller than we would have liked for 2 people. Very little room in the bathroom. Okay for a short stay. It was clean, tidy and modern with easy off-street parking. more

Just got back from a long weekend in Canberra visiting the Floriate and stayed at Tall Trees. The motel is located close to the city and if you have a car, there is no problem with getting to where you want to go. My parents stayed in an adjoining room and both our rooms/bathrooms were extremely clean and so was... more

I was a bit worried about staying here because of the other reviews, but upon our arrival at reception soon realised that the other reviewers might have been a bit too fussy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size for two people, the bathroom was very nice, and everything else in the room was what we... more
