We did visit this lovely hotel regular the last few years and we are always looking forward to meet again with the owners and their staff. Swimmingpool, nice room, good cooking, friendly people, in a romantic setting are elements that can make everybody happy!

I know they've had a lot of rain.... But the smell in the bedroom was in danger of keeping me awake! It was clean enough I suppose but honestly everything was damp, and not aired. Dinner was welcome after a long drive, but not memorable....in fact I really can't remember what we ate.....unusual for such foodaholics!

We had booked to stay for 2 nights at this Auberge but only managed one. On arrival the hotel looks a little tired and the elderly owners seem to have let things slip a little. Cracked and uneven paving slabs around the pool (dangerous for small children), a wasps nest in the trees near the enterance, weeds not attended to,... More

I agree, the cockerels can be loud sometimes , but I would like to point out they do not belong to the auberge and are not on our property, I do not own them and by choice I would not have them near us, but it is the countryside and unfortunately we have to live with them as with all... More

Very comfortable rooms. Quiet location and we had a good sleep. Swimming pool was great. The only downside was the restaurant where it was "nouvelle cuisine". We were very hungry, having travelled all day and whilst the meal on the plates looked beautiful, there was very little of it. Isnt it time that the nouvelle cuisine disappeared for good? Lets... To declare an interest first, we returned last week exactly 25 years after we first visited on our honeymoon. We chose it then for its romance and food from Arthur Eperon's guide and have had treasured memories ever since. Therefore La Scierie had a great deal to live up to and we are delighted to say it did. The present... More

My wife and I visited this little hotel for 2 nights and we fell in love with this place - and the owners. Yes the rooms could use a makeover but it was nice and clean. The Wi-Fi internet worked fine and they have 50+ TV channels to choose from. Our room was faced towards the nice and warm pool... More

This hotel represents excellent value for money in a character setting with all the modern amenties you need. The owners, Jackie and Eddie were the ideal hosts and Johhny, one of the employees was extremely helpful with any information we requested in both French and English. The pool was very welcoming after a long hot drive and the restaurant served... More

We arrived in pouring rain which slightly affected our first impression. The hotel is quite charming, the bedroom was fine if a little dated. But ... the dinner was amazing. We've been lucky enough to eat at some really good places and this was up there with the best. Interesting menu, beautfiully prepared and presented. A good place to stay... More

It looks quite charming as a place to stay, but I wouldn't stay for a week or so. The rooms are not too small, but in winter times you will need the extra electrical heater. The bathroom dates from late 70's or early 80's (and why do the french always want a bidet - hidden away under the sink). Decoration... More
